RE: Re: RE: Freeze plug went into the block
I dont recommend you just leave it in there from the get go but I doubt it's going to cause any harm. I dont think its going to block any flow as in cut it to zero but sure it's going to cause it to swirl and change the flow some.
RE: Re: RE: Freeze plug went into the block
leave it where it's at. the passages in the block are so small that it cant do anything but dance around in the bottom end of that side of the block. been there done that before. actually I just put a block heater in my blazer this past weekend and...
to me the only weak point is the 250 part of it. as long as you can deal with that it will last you forever. it cant be made into much over 250 bc of the lack of piston oilers, squirters or sprayers, whatever you want to call them.
I have a NHC250 in my 818 thats for sale. make me a good offer and it's yours. I only need to keep the acc off the front of the motor, starter, and intake.
ya. I had bought about 12 things from him for my towbar setup and it was quicker and easier just to have him send you the adapters. I felt that if I had included them with your bar they might have gone missing between you and me.
yup.. I agree. and if you notice the grate type material on the sides of the pipe this will inhibit flow and cause turbulence. neither are good in any motor esp a diesel. the only way to get equal flow from a muffler is to make sure it's ID is larger than the pipe it's replacing. "Some"...
I read on here that the tubular grill's are older and bc of internal rust issues they get replaced by the flat ones when the time comes.
if you look at the bottom edge of the tube on the lowest portion, almost all the round tube ones' I've seen have some type of bulge from the tube cracking...
you want the least you can get. Ie open exhaust will give the highest performance on turbo'd engines. backpressure will increase EGT's and lower power. the eng has all the backpressure it needs and it's supplied by the turbo.
for the life of me I dont understand why they are not putting GM latest powertrain in the vehicle. the Allison and duramax would be an awesome combo with more power(300hp and 520 TQ) and reliability. slow acceleration would be a thing of the past and it's lighter and more fuel efficient. wow...
RE: Info, tips, things to watch for, things I need to know,
