    Weld or Replace?

Actually the best thing is that you asked first instead of us reading about your horrible crash from brake failure in the papers. :-P [thumbzup]

Welcome and although odd, it is entirely possible you have a non-turbo Deuce. I wouldn't think it would be a 71 M35A2 without a turbo though. Come down to Zout's for the cookout. If I can make it from Dayton vi Melbourne, Florida you should be able to get there. :-)

Muffler? That's what ear protection is for.

Welcome aboard. I just sold a truck two weeks ago that we had swapped engines on and the buyer drove it from Dayton to Lubbock. Pretty sure they took 70 to 44 to 40. I still have one for sale and an M813 that I may keep.

Might buy a Deuce. opinions please.

Trust anyone on here when they tell you 20,000 is too much for a Deuce. The Dodge was better suited. You are going to have your flashers on all the time for going to slow unless it is all downhill and then you find the next problem, stopping. An M915 would loath along pulling that load but it...

    Heartbleed - Please read

For anyone interested I took a break from fly swatting and wanted to find the code snippet for myself. Like reverse engineering a MS patch only with source code. It's in the t1_lib.c code. OpenSSL-1.0.1-OpenSSL-1.0.1f Bad Version < /* Read type and payload length first */ <...

    Cummins Bell Housing Bolt Tighting

Similar to torquing the adapter ring on a Deuce as well. I used a torque wrench to put mine back together as well. Good point Ron.

    deuce airpack/master cylinder rebuild

Interesting. You can filter it all out otherwise SCUBA tanks would corrode on the inside and remove the oxygen. I know since I used to fill tanks and I have one right now with 18 year old air in it and I will bet no corrosion.

    Turning up governed RPM

I have not turned mine up but you know what I like about my NHC-250? Going slow and enjoying the ride. Running the urine out of it isn't in the cards.

    Hydrolocked M923a2 Input

Fording and slimy mud is the reason I don't like taking any truck off-road except on dry trails. I'm getting to be old enough to know better. The exception to this is my current driveway. :-(

No More Water Pump Leaks When Tightening The Fan Belts

Even though I would want to see a launch I want to buy one as soon as they are available as it will be going on my 813. I've already said I thought it was a good idea even if it is on the tension side. I also don't want to adjust a belt by moving a water pump. Now that is a stupid design...

    5 Ton Issue

5-ton, 1977 my guess is an 809 series with a NHC-250 Cummins. Next guess.
