Looking at a Deuce broken alternator mounting bolt casting and faulty regulator.
Is there a way to identify if the alternator is a Leece-Neville 3002AD or 3002AE?
It is a front fan type. Are the parts for one identical to the parts for the other?
Anybody know where to get a new regulator for it?
TM's are to be for reading understanding.

There are 2 common sets of TMs online for the deuce.
TM 9-2320-209xxxx and TM 9-2320-361xxxx.
The 209 series has about 11 books.
The 361 series condensed...
Install spin on filters/adapters; do your part to save an engine.
Engine lube design is to drain all lube oil to crankcase on shutdown
so when engine is started the turbo bearings go wanting for lube oil
10, 20. 30.40, seconds no oil!

I just talked with the owner, Willie.
Runs and drives LDS 465 whistler and of course no brakes.
Transmission/transfer case good.
It is inaccessible without Him being there and He is 25 miles away from location given.
Does the SS just want nice pictures and or is anybody interested...

My quandary is --- do I sell the 96 9C1 or the Deuce?
I already gave up a 95 completely done 9C1 for the Deuce.
This Dreamer may save the Deuce and sell the Chevy
Lots of uses for Deuces, Chevy max water about 15" then new optispark!
Especially maybe just save Her for when I need to get out of...

the moment of imbalance for Deuce engine crankshaft is allowable at half an ounce. I did read that someplace in TM's.
Harmonic balancers, 1960's style, seldom get renewed/replaced.
I suspect we will all start thinking soon...
