I did tire repair for many years before and part time after joining the Nvay. I would NEVER repair a sidewall let alone on a split rim. It is not remotely worth it.
Well I personally think members selling ebay items should be allowed again in it's own section as long as it's MV related. I think that needs to be rethought.

Go and talk to Jack or his son at Jacks Govt Surplus in Tucson (5181 E. Drexel Rd). They will be able to point you to a mechanic in Tucson (if they won't do it there). You will also see MANY hard to find MV's.
The M48 has the spare tire on the drivers side. It is totally opposite of the dumps. I had to modify the dump brackets ALOT to make mine work.:mrgreen:
Well the M59 was picked up in Loxahatchee and is currently sitting in Ocala FL on the truck. It will be dropped in GA tomorrow. I have all new gasser sheetmetal standing by with the exception of fenders (have multi ones till I find gassers).[thumbzup] Woo Hoo!!!!!!
Cajun, I don't know about showing early except maybe for a vendor so they can set up first thing in the AM. I think there were some people who camped there but I am not 100% on that (i'd call). There is the hotel right there on site too. It is kind of like a MV picnic in a way with a good sized...
Sounds like you just threw a belt which knocked off the resevoir cap, then you kept driving it causing other problems due to no coolant circulation (hopefully there's no major engine damage from driving it). As for the alternator pullys loose, that's probably what caused you to throw the belt.
Tim, Two C-17's come back on the 24th, so the only weekend I could do it would be Memorial weekend. Go with whatever the majority of the people can do. Regardless put me down for an XL t-shirt.
Well it looks like the M59 will be in GA soon. The driver is going to pick up at Kenny's tomorrow afternoon with the scheduled delivery no later that saturday morning.:driver:
