    turbo

There are two different torque specs depending upon what motor you. Most of the newer motors are of the TD variant. I believe TD stands for Thick Deck. These require a higher torque setting than the others. If you torque a non-TD motor to the TD standard you are liable to muck things up...

    Water chiller for M149A2

RE: Re: RE: Water chiller for M149A2 Thanks, guys! I saw about 15 of them come up in GA on GL about a year ago. They looked brand new. I bid but did not get one. They went for around $700 apiece.

    Water chiller for M149A2

I am looking for the water chilling unit that mounts on the shelf at the front of an M149A2 trailer. If you know where I can locate one, please let me know. Thanks!

Pics of the Deuce I drove in the first gulf war.

I concur on the sand eating equipment up. Although I was/am not in the Army, I have two M1009s that I believe were there (both have the inverted V's on the doors and tailgate, and both were painted tan in 1990). There was also a bunch of fine talcum-like dust in places where you wouldn't think...

5 Tons trucks in New England

EMMADO22, that's a nice HMMWV you have. It is a 2-man, right? I believe I saw it Aberdeen, or else I've seen pictures on this site.

5 Tons trucks in New England

I called once about the M923s/M925s. I was very interested. If I could have found a truck like those pictured on his site, I was willing to pay his high-end price (around $15K if I remember correctly). I was told that I could visit to look at the 2-3 trucks at their location with little...

Very cool to see the trucks doing what they were really designed to do. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

5 Tons trucks in New England

LOSLOBOS11, I think you are going to find that all of the USMC M813A1s have lockers...unless someone took them out...at least that has been my experience (I have owned several and inspected probably 25 or more). Joe (GIJOECZAR) has way more hours in the M809s than I do, but I do have some...

NJ military trail ride in the pines

You'll have loads of fun in a CUCV. I drove a deuce and I was limited by size as to which trails I could run.

Rear stabilizer leg on an M105

David, thanks for the offer. I actually have found them and mounted them on my trailers. I was just wondering why they would have been removed in the first place. All of the trailers came out of Ft. Bragg if that might make a difference.

NJ military trail ride in the pines

I've been on trail rides with the South Jersey Military Vehicle club and it was a blast. Some of the trails are tight for a deuce or larger, though. The places I went were mostly sandy with a bit of water. It was very cool.

Rear stabilizer leg on an M105

I have several M105A2s and none of them came with the rear stabilizer leg mounted on them. Is this something that was removed for some reason, or is this an item that is "desirable" for some reason that would cause a unit to cannibilize the trailer before it hit the CANN point? Thanks!

    help

I concur with David. I've had to pull a "Fonz" on many of the CUCV hoods. For those to young to remember Happy Days, Fonz used to pound his fist on the juke box to make it work. :) You may have to try it a few times as I have some pretty stubborn hood releases.

    Parts for 900 series

RE: Re: CUCVFAN I know both GIJOECZAR (Joe) and CUCVFAN (Neil) and I can say that you both are very good people. I can attest to the fact that Joe is a stand-up guy who sells really good stuff and really cares about the trucks, as well as this hobby. I was the one that invited Joe to join...

    5 ton vs. deuce offroad

Eddie, No, the truck to which I was referring is not your exact truck...just the same model with the same USMC set up. Your truck actually is nicer than the one I had at that show. That particular truck had quite a bit of rust repair, but it was a great runner.

    Any Peacekeepers available

Jeff, I think they are cool as h***, too. I remember seeing yours and I thought it looked really nice. What don't you like about them...or yours specifically?

    EUC's and DRMS

RE: EUC Sounds like you might have already gotten it. Call GL or check your account on their website. I can't imagine they would tell you what you can and can't do if you had not been approved.

    5 ton vs. deuce offroad

I don't have much experience off-road, but I will relate one story that occured a few years back (the last time the "Aberdeen" show was held at Churchville). For those that remember, it rained quite a bit and all of the trucks entering and leaving the show really churned up the fields. In...

    Oshkosh Chassis on Ebay

I agree...that thing is a mess! With that said, a chassis with a cab and three axles recently brought over $7,000 on GL. Given that I know of at least one other truck that was released, the guy's claim that this is the only truck out there is incorrect. I, too, would love to have it...
