Any clunking, vibration or other noise from "down there" prompts me to check the drive shaft flange bolts first! Numerous reports of those guys becoming loose or going AWOL.

your truck is beautiful - but there is something wrong with it. On the second picture from the right, bottom row, at what appears to be a car show, there is NO OIL on the floor underneath your truck! That does not seem normal!

Check underneath for any disconnected linkage to transfer case and transmission? If you can see mechanical input from the levers into both tranny and transfer case, check colour, smell of tranny fluid. It might be 15W40 engine oil but it still should not be black and smelling burnt. Oftentimes...

Good fix! Turn signals acting up can also be because of the turn signal "flasher box" in the engine compartment going bad. I cleaned and adjusted the switch, too, but needed a new box in the end.
