Anyone have a pict of the back side of the air tanks?

If the line with the protector on is from the dryer, then yes it is correct. your right, it doesn’t matter wich is inlet or outlet, you just don’t want them connected to the same port like in your A0 pic...

Just another alternator charging, battery thread - help for new owners?

The wire with the yellow heat-shrink on the forward reg terminal feeds 24V from relay K11 when the oil pressure goes over 15 PSI. Looks like it is being told to generate. The terminal with the red cap is a field sense output. In your A0 it doesn’t do anything except feed up to the STE...

Anyone have a pict of the back side of the air tanks?

With the transfer case right there, it is kinda hard to get really good pics, and you certainly cannot do it at the same level as the tanks if I understand y0ur meaning of horizontal plane. Best I could get were 2 tanks in one pic and the camera was nearly on the ground to do that.. the...

    Keyed Ignition Switch Issues

Yea, I don’t get it either, they are just switches. Granted one applies DC voltage and the other provides a path to ground, a dual/separate contact key switch or the addition of a relay should work just fine...

Anyone have a pict of the back side of the air tanks?

Your wet tank appears to be plumbed correctly. I don’t think most are as even the diagrams in the manual show it incorrectly. 100 of the air from the dryer should pass THRU the wet tank on it’s way to the service tanks. The way the manual shows, the line from the dryer T’s into the rear most...

Yes, cat should be able to configure a new ECU based on the S/N. And thad looks like what you would need to interface a laptop to a cat ECU... Your truck has a 3116(mechanical inj) engine, or did you get another truck?

    CTIS trouble shooting

The stock sensor is a 100PSI, 0-5V. The controller is looking or adjusting the pressure in highway to get to the return voltage for 55PSI, which is 2.75V if you install a 150PSI sensor, when the controller adjusts the pressure to get that same 2.75V out of the sensor, the required pressure to...

I think my air compressor is cycling to much.

Yep, gotta hook up a compressor and find the leaks. Even the most sensitive hearing can miss things when the cat is purring:)

    CTIS trouble shooting

That is your rear axle CTIS dump valve. It is basically a remote pressure regulator. If the tube feeding it was leaking, and the tire pressure was greater than the line pressure, that valve would dump to try and get it’s output to equal the leaking input line pressure. Basically giving it a...

I think my air compressor is cycling to much.

You are correct, when the compressor unloads the line from compressor and dryer are open to atmosphere, because the governor has opened the purge valve at the bottom of the dryer. what is the difference between parked and driving? You are applying park air to release the park brakes. Does...
