    M817 front axle not engaging!!!

    It is probably your sprags not engaging. My first guess would be from lack of use. My 813 has the same problem every once in a while. I need to take it over to the other field and try and get it stuck to get them to engage. You can also find info in the manuals.

    Welcome aboard. First thing familiarize yourself with the operation manual. Search for the threads on here about what to take on a recovery if you are going to do it yourself. Make sure you know the ABS procedures if it has it. Good looking truck.

    I hope you mean drain the oil, change the filter, refill with clean oil and then drain and refill again. You said drain it, change filter and run it for a while. ;-)
