I was going back and looking at the old post and this guy joined in 2008 but his post was in 2004. Does he have a time machine :? ? It also says he has zero post but I know he's got atleast one.
Anyway. I got my first one in Aug. 2007.
Can they? Yes.
Can you find somebody with enough brains that works there to test it? Probally not.
When I go to Auto Zone if they can't look it up in the computer they are lost. There are shops around that Alt. and startes are their main business. They should know what to do.
Won't they ban you from future sales if you back out of the deal? I think you'd be better off to let someone have it for $100 and you eat $100 if you plan on ever buying from them again. They are going to hit you with a bunch of fees anyway.
Offroadfabworks, The seats are fair at best but it may beat nothing at all. I'll give them to you if you want them when you come after the springs.
FreightTrain, PM sent.
I talked to my scrap man today and he told me scrap is going down $70 a ton next month. I've removed the axles, engine, trans, front springs, fuel tank, gauge pannel, and hardtop. If anybody needs anything you better speak up because next week what's left is gone.
Just what it says. 3,000# max on the a-frame, no further out than 10' in front of the truck or things will start to break like the bumper, frame, etc. The a-frame will place a great load on the front of the truck with 3,000# hanging 10' in front of the truck.
I check around at the local scrap yard or a fap shop. I'd think finding a piece of used pipe wouldn't be that hard. Could pobally get it for a little over scrap price. If you go the new route and buy it from one of the on-line stores shipping is going to kill you on top of the high price of new...
I've started tearing down a winch for rebuild and I've only took off the lever side (passenger side) so that's all I can speak on at the moment. In that side you have the dogs that are shifted by the lever, the drum lock pin, and the anti-freewheeling brake pad ( that won't hlod a load). I'll...
It's called a 50 ton tri-lifter made by Riggers Manufacturing. In the pic we are lifting one end of a 100,000# stamping press at a factory that made Muray lawnmowers in Larenceburg,TN. We were getting ready to load it on a truck.
No gimpy, It's not scrap. Even after I lifted it :D . I'd like to...
It's not a band. It's a pin that fits inside holes drilled into the side of the drum. You may have to turn the drum a little to get the pin to fall into one of the holes. If it still doesn't work you've probally broke the pin.
Did you have the drum lock in and try and power the winch. If you...
That looks about like a 3,000# forklift. I'd say you had her at her max with the engine and trans that far out on the forks. I've used a 6,000# lift the times I've pulled one and it knew it had ahold of something.
