I have 3 axles to drain and fill. Interested in opinions on best bang for buck on 80w90 or similar weight synthetic. What brand do you like to use? Where do you find the best prices.
Recently I replaced a pulley on my 3116. I priced it at a CAT, and it was around $230. Using this company I paid $65. Quality is good. Is aftermarket part. I have no financial interest in this company.

Anyone with an M1088 see their trans cooler fans come on? I don't tow, so maybe the temp has not gone up enough to trigger. Radiator gets hot. Maybe needs new relay or thermostat?
For bolts that hold the pulleys and damper on, only use a very light torque. Maybe 20ish ft lbs. I'm actually still looking for the exact figure. I had to Helicoil them. Also avoid JB Weld blue thread locker. It never seems to cure. Otherwise, JB Weld I found is generally awesome stuff.
Today I used a radiator cleaner to clean it. As I cleaned it it become apparent that what I thought was aluminum, was copper/brass. Why this design?
It lasts A LOT longer than aluminum.
This was a very interesting video. They looked at how turbo blankets impacted the power output of an engine. Beware of cheap, fake "blankys" on net. Go with something like a PTP.

Installed the Red Dot AC evap unit today. It's been sitting in my garage for 2 years. Prices for these is redic now. New air valves in. Made a template for new hoses. Watched Broke Overland's install a few times : )
Might make the compressor brackets with my cnc and weld up. Donno....
