Never thought the Steyr axles looked as substantial as the Rockwells, but an owner told me today that 2 or 3 axles all get air lockers. Odd to have a front axle locker, but ok.

Started the M1088 at 14 degrees F. Block heater definitely helped. Started fairly easily. Likely to add oil pan heater. Someone posted a trans temp chart, indicating the negative impact of higher temps to the trans. Sounds like a bypass might help in warmer ambient temps to reduce the heat soak...
