Striking out here. I want to be sure I have all the correct parts. Is there an exploded view of all the parts somewhere? I don't want to open it all up then order parts. Need to have them on hand for quick reassembly.

Found this thread. As I'm seriously considering pulling the oil cooler off and checking it I was wondering does the turbo have to come off or can it be done leaving it on? Trying to figure out all the gaskets and o-rings I need to do this job. is the cooler to the block a gasket or RTV?
I'm not an automotive engine machinist but I am a machinist with a mill. Isn't it just a matter of fly cutting it minimally till it's flat with a good finish? I've never seen them do a head before.
I was talking with a good friend that goes way above on his research and he recommended using a diesel fuel additive because the newer diesel fuel doesn’t have all the lubricants that it used to.

That’s a loaded question, all the hours and days in preparation or if the bed, driveshafts, fabricating the hoist and special tool and trans removal about 5 days but the actual unbolt and rebolt new one maybe 8 hrs by myself.
