I found it! Brand new in the box Deuce hood lift kit made by BBQ Rod. I sold the deuce so I guess I should let it go. $200

I don't have a lot to offer, but get new bolts. I can go into an entire dissertation about over tightening bolts and removing them from their "plastic stage" but if the bolts were ever stretched by over tightening them they will come loose every single time. Think of a spring from a little click...

So......I picked up a donor truck with a 12V Cummins, it may just be going in Clyde if I can find a set of clutch pedals for an Econoline.

It seems like I have a dead injector. I just don't have time to mess with it. Took it down to Jim Henry's. If it turns out to be more than that, it may become a part-out. Or.......maybe an 8.3 repower....hmmmmmm

If it was me, from my past experiences, I would do all I can to avoid Chicago traffic. Consider your southern alternative route.

Alice I looked at the pics of the truck, looks like you got a nice one. Right tires and good physical shape. Just take your time with the trip (rushing almost always causes problems) and enjoy it. I've undertaken several super long-distance trips and loved every one of them. Someone on here...
