If you've never done it, I always recommend that when folks are in the axle to take care of an oil seal or front knuckle boot, that they rebuild the wheel (brake) cylinder (hone out the brake cylinder if it doesn't need to be replaced - IMO probably doesn't, usually just some minor rust pitting...
I would recommend towing it for a couple blocks and checking the trailer hub temperatures to make sure you don't have bearing issues. Then towing it for a mile and checking again. If you have a long way to go, check again after 5 miles. If they're still cool you're probably good.
When I bought...
Bwhahah - I've been through part Maryland a few times - trees are a resource out here, and they don't grow like weeds as they do there! As for speeding - I dunno... how fast does an A3 accelerate? I though MVs were rated in fish for acceleration (1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish - -...
I hear ya, zero findings for me as well, besides me trying to use a tachometer as a speedometer adapter. rofl
You can read the hilarity here:

Basically, Big Mike's Motor Pool...
To be specific, the M809 series 5 ton speedometer adapters fit on the deuce transfercase
Thanks!
Question, do you mean they read 3-5 mph faster than the stock adapter or the reading is 3-5mph faster than your actual speed?
I never included in this thread my adventures with my caster adjustment, my posts starting at #113 (Pages 12 & 13).

It did solve the touchy and unsafe...
They're a (fairly new?) business in Northern Utah here. I see their trucks ALL the time. They're into major modifications of the "survivalist" truck variety. I haven't had any dealings with PlanBSupply, but I know Gunzy has. I haven't looked for some time but PlanBSupply did have the cheapest...

It appears that my ring and cradle is a full .50 caliber set up. The ring for the obvious .50 on the data-plate, and two, because the above website lists the M23 cradle that came with my ring as for the same. For live fire I want the...
Yes, red is correct.
I've added the cover support bracket.

Also, part of that evidence I mentioned (besides the hole cut through the hard top) was the hard top is dented from some soldier's butt...
Just got off the phone with O'Reilly's, and it's about $5.00 cheaper to go the Amazon route for the Gas-Magnum (#2) - and Monroe was the primary shock they carried, the other brands were a little more higher priced and he said they'd be a bit stiffer. (I think he said that an equivalent KYB...
Excellent feedback juanprado, thank you very much! I'll go with #2 then, the Gas Magnum. It is 1/4" shorter in full extension than the stock oil shocks, but that should be okay (I hope). I'll call local O'Reilly's here and see what they sell equivalent to it.

So I poured through the above referenced Monroe 2015 Shocks & Struts catalog, and here's my findings:
My gut says that the correct measurement method is from center of mount to center of mount. The stock oil shock was 13" collapsed and about 20" extended; mounted on a 5/8" bolt.
The following...
What is the proper location to measure the shock for compressed/extended lengths?
As I indicated in my first post, when measuring the stock shock from center of the mounting loop to center of the opposite mounting loop, it is 13" when fully compressed, and 20" when fully extended; all on a...
I agree with CARNAC!
When I bought my deuce I called weigh stations in northern Utah, southern Utah, northern Arizona, southern Idaho, Wyoming, and eastern Nevada. I generally spoke to a state trooper at each one. The message I received from each was the same, that if I was not commercial...
Coool! Welcome welcome.
The only thing I know is don't operate the truck in reverse if the transfer case is in low range. The truck may or may not have a lockout preventing it. If you do, catastrophic transfer case explosion may occur. But you probably already know this. ;)

Gross weight is the combined weight of the trailer and it's maximum rated carrying capacity, regardless of what you put in it (or don't put in it). The M105 has a capacity of 1.5 tons, or 3,000 lbs. Therefore, its gross weight is 2650 + 3000 = 5,650 lbs.
Your 1/2 ton is definitely larger than...
In my search to buy more of this green powder coat, I came across this web site that lists other powder coat numbers that I believe will match the standard military vehicle colors:
See here under their "Stock Combat" grade:
http://www.hentzen.com/index.php/products/coating_type/stock_powders/...
Adding those to the list! And before the M816 wrecker leaves my driveway to its new owner, a requirement is that I have a little bit of certain help mounting the ring ;)
I do not believe that I know what a muzzle cradle is or looks like. I'm assuming it's where you turn and rest/store the end...
