    Air Dryer for an M35A2

Today I called the place rustystud linked. I asked if their AD9 air dryer was available in 24V or was only 12V. The fellow offered to check and call me back. About 30 minutes later he did and a 24v version was available from his supplier in Chicago for ~$235, new, plus UPS S&H which he estimated...

    M35A2 Brake Service Questions

No problem-o. Anyway, after thinking about it I do have a comment on the following: Q: 3. Is there a maximum acceptable I.D. for the wheel cylinders after honing? A: I do not think this is an item you need to worry about. The cylinders will either hone out smooth or be obviously pitted and just...

    M35A2 Brake Service Questions

I can provide a tiny bit of help here, so I apologize as I'll skip the numbers I can only answer with "I don't know" (which is most of them). Q: 1. Are there good and bad wheel cylinder rebuild kits, or are they all about the same? A: You absolutely want the rebuild kits with the springs with...

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Judging by how much sandy red dirt was INSIDE the selector valve and fuel filter, I'm thinking the fuel tanks will be FULL of settled dirt from it's previous location. They probably should be cleaned... =/

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Now that I've owned the truck for over 6 months it saw it's first real work at attempting to revive it this weekend. Previously Red and Ji had taken a gander at the truck and helped point out a few cracked fuel lines. They were right along with gimpyrobb who said "A guy I work for once in a...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I don't know what that "thing" is but I would say that's no plate holder but a mount point for winch cable rollers/guides.

    2.5 Locking hubs group buy

If you're putting them on the the front there's only grease to keep in, not gear oil. I would think you're just fine using the gaskets with RTV. If you're not, they can always be replaced.

    Red's deuce/camper project

Short video clip of the quietest ride I've ever had in a deuce: (Note: this is at the very beginning of the trip) https://youtu.be/ku9kCaB6ycc Not a fresh coat of paint, but engine oil:

    2.5 Locking hubs group buy

I received my hubs yesterday! I didn't think my handwriting was that bad, but my first and last name spelled wrong. :P But it doesn't matter how my name is spelled, as long as I get the package! One whole side of the bottom of the box was split open. Fortunately I don't think anything was...

Deuce tail roller and bed winch, skid loading setup

Yeah I know rofl- and your truck looked a lot less rusty. I think I'd prefer the electric winch in the rear like yours over the PTO.

Deuce tail roller and bed winch, skid loading setup

You know red, there's some M756 pipeline deuces for sale up in Logan, UT with a rear facing PTO winch and bed roller... :P I took picks of them back in December, and saw they were still there in April...

    Red's deuce/camper project

Sounds just fine, and as always, I'm just offering, don't feel obligated. This is more than a curve ball you've been thrown and I'm impressed how well you're handling all the stress. I don't do well under it.

    Red's deuce/camper project

Not to speak for red, (and I'm not born and raised here...) but typically when folks refer to Northern Utah it is mostly of the Great Salt Lake Valley (also known as the Wasatch Front, for the Wasatch mountain range) where the largest part of Utah's population lives. It is wide and flat...

    Red's deuce/camper project

Well least you made it to Utah, but sorry for your problems! :| There's Boyce Equipment in Ogden. They're pricey but they have everything and the know-how too. Let me know if I can be of any help - I'm pretty ignorant on the engine but I make a good "Soldier B".

    Introducing my M35

I have a corner on the passenger rear of my cargo cover sewn incorrectly too. Cool that they modified a 5 ton. When you get to the cargo cover, take pictures and tell us its story =)

    Introducing my M35

Congratulations and welcome aboard! Numerous bells and whistles (the best way to buy them :) IMO) Neat location for the antenna mount on the driver's fender. Heater ducting looks near-new (I'm only slightly jealous, hehe) Even the winch wire rope cover. Cool. You've probably already corrected...
