    Disc Brake Engineering Thread

I found the following thread from Pirate 4x4. Uses 1994 Ford F-700 Bus rotors, rear calipers from a 2001 Ford F-550, and a master cylinder from a 1985 Chevy K30. On the last page of the thread a vendor is selling a front/rear kit for $1500 without brake hoses. Rockwell wheel brakes w/ pics -...

Water to air intercooler, Charge air cooler, Aftercooler...

I used to own a 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra that had an Eaton supercharger bolted on top from the factory. Below the supercharger was the water-to-air intercooler and below that was the intake manifold. The intercooler used a small 12v pump that circulated a water/coolant mix through a separate...

Well, I fixed my "overheating" problem with Isabell. From the time I bought her (03.04.11) until now the temp gauge would take some time to hit 200 F and after a period of driving it would creep to 230 F and stay there. She never used or leaked a drop of coolant. I never heard gurgling...

    Need help from LA Members.....

The only inspection required is to verify that the VIN is placed on the exterior of the vehicle in one spot. I chose the front bumper. The trooper also verifies the dash VIN matches the bill of sale and insurance. I was in and out in 10 minutes or less at Troop A in Baton Rouge.

Remove water from oil./ effective filtering

My method of removing water is to heat the oil in a barrel to 150 F for at least 8 hours. The water settles to the bottom and the oil rises to the top. Next, draw the water off a bottom bung in the barrel with a ball valve into a clear hose. Crack the valve open and let the water flow until...
