    New guy advise

. I understand that! The M813 is a heck of a truck. It just isn't a "Road Runner" for sure...

    New guy advise

. These trucks DO NOT have tons of gidy-up-go. They are SLOW, and get slower on a grade pulling any weight. The big tires (assuming you would super single it) will kill your power for towing. You will drive yourself nuts in this thing for 200 miles and, did any one mention the comfort! They...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

. Darn lucky that it didn't cross your fence! What did you do to pump enough water to stop it there? Happy to hear that you and your truck survived the mess. .

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

. Like @US6x4 suggested, be careful with the little "giblets" of rubber inside the intake tube. Might even be worth removing the elbow and dumping it out. Yeah, it isn't metal but it sure won't help make your engine run any better or faster if it ingests a bunch of rubber shavings. The bait...

So I was just looking for a Chevy Pickup...

. Welcome to the Outfit! Like @98G mentioned, you've definitely got to be careful. These trucks tend to attract more like them, and before you know it - you will have an entire herd of Green Iron. Be sure to check in with @m1010plowboy . He has had several trucks like yours and he has gone...

. Testing picture upload? Yep, seems to work... Next? More pics?

    Lug Nuts Way Overtorqued (!)

. Not at all. On the assumption that all the air is drained out of the tire. Where the real danger is - is not getting the ring back in place firmly and securely. The way to inflate the tire safely is to roll it into a "cage", then using a clip on air chuck, inflate the tire. Should the ring...

    M35A3 new owner has questions

. Welcome to the Outfit! Need to know about the steering... Does this machine have an aftermarket "power steering" installed? Does it have enough fluid in the reservoir? Send pictures? As far as fluid for the transmission is concerned, you should have an Allison Transmission... 10wt...

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

. Yeah, and son looks like he is grinning from ear to ear... Gotta have fun riding the HMMWV with dad! .

Need Mechanic in No. Georgia to repair brakes on M35a2

. If you have no leaks - and the master cylinder is full - and the brakes don't work, then yes the airpac is where your problem most likely is. You might also be sure to verify that you have vacuum going to the air pac. And that there is no holes in the hose...

    Killswitch Install

. Welcome to the Outfit! Yes, that would work. Just breaking the contact on the solenoid will work just fine. The switch might even be inverted - thinking that somebody would turn a switch OFF to turn it on?

    Mep 804A

. Yep... You have the Green Disease for sure! Already have two, going for the third. Yessir, you have it bad. :)

    Mep 804A

. Yes sir... That would work and a little breeze wouldn't hurt either. Lots of guys here just use an oven or two wired in as a load bank. Wired appropriately of course.

    Mep 804A

. Chances are that the generator wasn't loaded heavily enough when it was last run. It takes hours and hours of time to build up that much "soot". Might have been a command tent that it was attached to and it spent most of its life just running with no load. Yep, you definitely should see a...

    Dumb question about fuel

. Welcome to the Outfit! I would suggest filtering WMO just because of the possibility of ingesting slivers of bearings and grit and general dirt from the waste motor oil. Get yourself a pair of drums - whatever size. Get a filter housing and a pump and move the oil from one drum to the other...

. Well good! Happy to see you here - and make sure you download the TM's (Technical Manuals) for the GenSets you are working on. There is a ton of information in those books... Welcome to the Outfit! .

. No Sir... Unfortunately you have to go around your thumb to get to your a$$. This site doesn't support video. Have to go to YouTube (or similar) post your video, then past a link here. Sorry...

    Saving and upgrading m135

. Well, it would be interesting to see what you do to it. I watched your intro video. Offloading the cab... I would imagine repowering the truck would be one of the first things to do. Once you get the engine and transmission in place, a trip to the local drive shaft repair facility will be...

    Rebuilding FAV #91

. So... What are you going to do with your FAV when you finish it? Is your plan to drive it around town, or do you plan to run it on the beach? I saw your discussion about selling your first to fix your house. Just wondering... .
