A2 compressor mounts available by weeks end: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?152828-M939A2-A-C-Compressor-Mount-Kit-Pass-Side-Factory-Serpentine-Drive&p=1858525#post1858525
Update, this kit is nearing completion for this week: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?152828-M939A2-A-C-Compressor-Mount-Kit-Pass-Side-Factory-Serpentine-Drive&p=1858525#post1858525
Working on this kit, as promised, as some of you in the south are already begging for it. Bracket is done and mounted, compressor is mounted, I now just need to obtain a longer belt. She looks great and makes much more sense than the $500-$750 Red Dot/Kenway kit that adds a V belt compressor...
Sorry rust, no part numbers visibly available within plain sight on my alternator. There is a chrome like decal at the bottom that says "Rebuilt by Southern Electric" or some jazz like that. It looks like maybe that tag used to have numbers on it, but then it later took a shot a carb cleaner...
High speed balanced armatures. Since they spin about 20,000rpm, they get balanced on the assembly line with a mill that comes in and removes weight where necessary to achieve the target balance threshold or less. It then re-spins it to make sure target level is achieved, or the armature is...
We all say don't touch it. But, it is also fun to armchair quarterback the game. Bring my car trailer up to my work tonight after 9p, we'll forklift the GR LDT engine and cradle out of the can, and set it back down on the open center trailer and pressure wash it. That will allow you to do...
Bum news. Filtermaxx said they can not get the 5" model. What a bummer, this led to nowhere, and I'm again sorry to get everybody excited. At least the M35A2 guys had a win and can get the 4" via this method. I ended up ordering the 5" from overseas, looks like about $95 total including...
Correct. Filtermaxx has not placed the order yet if you need to cancel, call them now. They are checking on the 5" one now, which is H008150, I'm hoping for the same result of being able to push it through and obtain them. Fingers crossed. Sorry again for any 5T'ers that trusted my info and...
No, he said voltage at the starter dropped to a few volts. Your batteries are low to begin with. Charge them both well and repeat the test. Fully charged lead acid batteries should show 25.4-25.6v. Next step after that is to make sure the alternator is charging them when the engine is...
Not really. He has done it so frequently in the past few months that he knows the torque sequence and values nearly by memory. Looks like he is talking about re-ringing this engine, so here we go again..... Are 120 page threads allowed?
Both of you are correct. I thought I remember the 5T being 4", but it is 5". Sorry, you got me. IGM now has my gonads on his fireplace mantle to squeeze whenever he wants. Darn it. Maybe I should not have made fun of his satan paint. He'll be teaching me how to use a ruler in like every...
5'? That's intense. Seriously, it has been a while since I measured it. If 5", then I may have ordered the wrong one. I just went off my poor memory, and thought it was 4", and somewhat confirmed it by seeing the Donaldson 4" was not available in the US. I'll go measure now in the rain to...
Should, it is plastic and seems to attach with a hose clamp, and the bottom seems to have vertical cuts in it which allows it to expand and fit over a 4" pipe. Stay tuned, I'll do mine and then we'll know.

Bad Info Posted, Please Delete
Incorrect info given. I greatly apologize to anybody that bought a part based upon my incorrect info. I SUCK !!! The intake pipe on M939's is about 5", not 4" as I thought I remembered. The 4" model is available for those who can use it. The 5" has to be...
That's what I also suggested, but the flywheel is missing. All other parts he can easily pull from his truck and do a test fire (injection pump and lines). But by the time you pull the flywheel out of his truck, the engine is nearly out at that point anyway. Anybody have a flywheel they can...
