Wow... That Option 4 using the amber light with the dual filament socket - to make the signals and yellow running lights function is really good. And the least amount of metal mods too... Lots of imagination and it is shaping up nicely!

One small thing... You had your lights on - Right? The light switch seems to be tied to CTIS and that is how that system is energized. You might want to look at the Spicer troubleshooting guide or the military CTIS diagnostics are in TM9-2320-272-23-1

Just remember,,, Keeping those front glad hands will help the wrecker driver if you ever need a tow. There are caps that should be on a chain up front that keep bugs and critters out of those air lines. Special caps that allow the air system to "breathe". Purpose of the glad hands up front...

Hand on the bottom of the wheel helps a little just because you have to be quick - and a little push right or left - moves the trailer in that direction. Less thinking, faster action when backing up...

You have to remember that our goberment has unlimited money (because we allow it). They don't care about the 800 trucks and the revenue that it added to the coffers. AND if they felt the pinch of losing that money, they simply create some new tax to replace that money...

And if you can find a real counter man the old gray bearded guy - like @juanprado suggested - take off the other back caliper fitting and take it with you. That way they can have something to match to.
