Now if you could just supply me with a free half track, I would gladly figure out how to attach the hook latch springs. And I will take really good care of it. It will fit onto my trailer with room to spare.

As long as you have "cracked the books" and use what you have learned there - the guys will be happy to help. After all, that is the real purpose of this site.

Grease on the cable that runs inside the sleeve will definitely help. Want to test that theory without spending any money? Disconnect the "high side" of the cable up at the speedometer and spray WD40 (or your favorite penetrating oil) into the cable and in a few minutes of run time - Presto...

Story Time with Tim
So our shop is next door to a single engine firehouse. They were here back in the early 1900's and when we moved in in 1968 - as a kid I spent a lot of time next door. I learned a lot about fire trucks and how they responded to alarms. Got to enjoy sitting in the TV...

Be first this month... The new contest is already up. Don't be bashful. Picture and be ready to campaign on the 15th of the month with more pictures and a story. Maybe a puppy, kid, or a cat in your pictures ;-)

@G744 and @Floridianson are dead on the money! You need more information before you jump in and "just fix" the air chambers on any air brake system.
First of all : Think Before You Die. There is a spring behind the outward facing "cap" on the air chamber. That chunk of aluminum will...

Omni Glass is a good outfit. I ordered a new windshield for my M1088 and it arrived on my dock (at work) in about a week. I don't remember the pain when I paid for it and their crate was FIRST CLASS when it arrived.

@kendelrio , I had to go back and read your post again. I kept thinking that if Sherwin-Williams (and you) are calling that truck color a "perfect match" then those folks must be related to the Weather Forecasters. Like I said, read it again and finally noticed the rims and accents (Bling!)...

Ooops. I missed that little KM below the odometer.
Makes a lot more sense.
The vintage diesel clusters that I posted really are MPH though I question the need for a 140 speedo. It was what it had, so I didn't question why.

Yes sir. lacquer thinner works just fine with RapCo paint. You could also bump Chucky (another member on here) and get his opinion and cut rate. He is a "yard painter" like me - but up in Tennessee.
.
I have used Xylene and have used plain old Lacquer Thinner. I'v had no problem with the finish (shine) on my projects. A fiend of mine @chucky ,sprayed about 7 gallons of RapCo and his truck has nearly no shine at all. A normal "Cut" rate is about 25%. Depends on you and your gun too and...
.
I snagged a screen scrape of the new cluster(s). Yeah, it takes away the factory "look" but wow. If it actually functions it looks pretty awesome. I mean it is almost drool worthy...
Then you look a little further down and the price tag makes you take a deep breath. Then again too, if...

Back in my hotrodding days, that light weight car with the useless leaking motor was great with a pumped up smallblock Chevy engine squeezed in there. New front springs, new 12 bolt and ladderbars (before discovering the 4-link suspension) and a newly rebuilt transmission. Driveshaft...
.
That is absolutely amazing! I mean the Vega was a piece of "dung" but the special battery, special baffling inside the aluminum motor block, the special windshield washer bottle... The shipping container really is cool and even better than what they already had.
A little ingenuity goes a...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Definite plus that you have already "cracked the books". You should get an attaboy from @Guyfang for doing that. Have to agree with @kendelrio - That is a sharp looking truck. Even in red she's "purty". Snap us some more pictures when you have a chance. Heck, maybe...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Maybe a picture or several of your new-to-you truck would be good. After all, we are picture hounds here... Might be worth your time to download the TM's (Technical Manuals) too. Yeah, I know. It's a lot more fun to rip and roar down the road than looking at a stack...

Might need to do a little research.
We have used Haldex-DA34100 successfully.
I did a quick search to compare to the 34100 to the 201160 and came up empty.
Maybe a call to Haldex would get you a better answer.
Or maybe @simp5782 knows the difference?
