    servicing deuce injectors

At the price you are selling them for they are still a bargain even if they don't work ! I bought them just for the new upper end. I had planned on replacing the tips all along. Now I just might use them as is anyway. After testing them of course. Even if some are stuck it's an easy fix really...

    12 volt towing box

I went with the military design. The "MS3106F16-10S" is just one I used. This connector is the standard 3 wire connector used to plug into the MRE heater box or into the deuces turn signal relay. You can look up the shell design you want in their catalog. The MS means military. If you want the...

    Torque Rod Ends

That is good to hear !!! It helps in justifying the cost of those torque rod ends.

    servicing deuce injectors

I've been wondering about this whole business of the one hole versus two hole injector. From what I've read the two hole is suppose to be better with using different fuels. I'm wondering if the single hole injector is better with diesel fuel though ? Has anyone tried running the single hole and...

    Axle noise? video

I didn't realize it was getting louder. If it is you have some bearings going out then.

    Axle noise? video

I used to use a 20ton floor jack and a piece of wood. Get the pumpkin to set just right on the jack. Roll the jack into place, and using your feet push the unit into the housing. Easy ! If you believe it was easy I have a bridge I want to sell.

    deuce steering gear

Yes I know ! I'm doing the best I can at this time. My old shop is gone now, and I'm working out of the old garage. I'm also handling all the property work going on right now.

    deuce steering gear

They should turn easily by hand. If not then they are too tight and need adjusting.

Is this worth getting?! Junkyard Find

If I was closer I would buy it from you. As it is the shipping would kill me !

    Axle noise? video

These units are extremely loud ! But then if your running them you really don't care about the road noise.

Is this worth getting?! Junkyard Find

Are you kidding me ? For $200.00 a Dana 70 HD is a steal !!! That differential could sell for over $1000.00 easy even in it's present condition ! So even if you will never use it, you can sell it and make a tiddy profit.

    Axle noise? video

I've had luck reducing noise using a good quality 90W-140 gear oil, but your right David. Those gears by their very nature make a lot of noise. Now if you think these Rockwells make noise, you should check out the double reduction two speed units ! There basically the Rockwell on steroids ...

    Torque Rod Ends

I've had them come out with just a hammer, and I've had to get a torch since the 20 ton press would not budge them. It's a roll of the dice really. When I reinstall the new bushings I always use "anti-seize" on them. Not only does it help with the installation, but I believe it helps when you...

    If I was an electron.....

I agree with Marcus, we don't need to go down this rabbit hole. Though that was the reasoning to the positive grounding of vehicles in the 1950's. Electrons flow from the negative to the positive. They figured it would provide a better electrical system. We now know it makes no difference which...

    Request M35A2 Retrieval info

Just like Gimpyrobb said, it is not needed in your state. In fact it really isn't needed in any of the lower 48 states. It was installed for Artic conditions. Yes some states along the Canadian border can get pretty cold but the deuce should still start. The later models had the "ether"...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Your extremely lucky if that "pickle" fork removed the torque rod. It usually takes a little more force.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Looks like you need a new line also.

    Fuel Density Compensator

It's not about the Turbo, but about the amount of fuel your pumping into the engine when you bypass the FDC. You need to know how much fuel is being injected.

    Fuel Density Compensator

That's pretty close to the model I used. Hewitt makes a great product.
