Where to get new injectors or rebuild kit?

The four hole tips might create a problem in the "multifuel" engine. The larger hole sprays a stream into the piston bowl, while the smaller hole is mostly a mist which fires off first and helps burn the fuel in the piston bowl. The fuel needs to burn "slowly" and completely.

    Winch and Bumper Project

You'll get no argument from me ! I don't off-road much anymore, but when I do I only do it with "dedicated" off-road vehicles not my good vehicles. I also totally agree about winches. They are there for "emergencies" only. Unless again it is the "dedicated" off-road vehicle. As far as dates and...

    Steering gear warning

Looks like you ran out of oil causing wear. You then tightened the sector shaft causing even more extreme wear.

M51A2 hydraulic power steering problem ross hydrapower

It looks like you had a loose of lubrication which caused extreme wear. You compounded the problem by tightening the sector shaft adjustment. I've seen this happen before. With all the small particles of metal floating around your gear, I'm sure there is not much salvageable by now.

    Fuel Density Compensator

What was your point ? This thread is about the FDC and how it works.

    Mechanical Booster Pump "making oil"

No. Leave the injection pump alone. The Hydraulic Head comes out pretty easy after you align up the marks.

    002A Aux Fuel Setup Suggestions

Hey Guy ! I see your up now. I'm just getting ready to go to bed. My wife has convinced me to get on a "day" schedule now that I'm retired. So no more staying up to 4:00am anymore for me. For the past 25 years I have been on a "swing shift" schedule so it has been hard trying to get my body to...

    Hayes Axle ?

I agree with "simp5782" . Unless you need to replace the axle itself the other parts are all easily replaced and are all industry standard. The axle itself should also be industry standard and could be replaced with say a "Meritor" axle.

    002A Aux Fuel Setup Suggestions

AN and JIC will normally interchange just fine. There are a few sizes that do not interchange though. They are different in quality too. The JIC is cheaper and cheaply made compared to the AN fittings. The 5 AN fitting is becoming very rare though. My friends at "Parker" have ordered them for...

    Fuel Density Compensator

Basically the Fuel Density Compensator gives you the same power or pedal "feel" no matter what fuel your using. To do this it actually lowers the power level of Diesel so that a fuel like Gasoline will have the same pedal feel. I know it sounds silly at first, but if you look at it from the...

    Steering gear warning

Well that totally sucks ! I remember someone who lives in Europe once mention a huge U.S. military surplus yard in Denmark ? I believe. He said they are well known there. Might be worth a try.

Where to get new injectors or rebuild kit?

My intent wasn't so much the actual part numbers as the fact that you only needed the two part numbers to switch injector nozzles. Glad you found the "new numbers" though !

    Mechanical Booster Pump "making oil"

That's the one. It's still an American Bosch PSB pump. That's all that matters.

    Winch and Bumper Project

Thank you. As far as the "Great Alaskan Adventure" goes. I was planning on having my power steering project finished this year. My wife had different priority's though. So this last spring and summer I've been working on the house and property getting it ready for a major rebuild. We are gutting...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

During my years as a metal fabricator I got "stuck" with the wire coming off the wire wheels all the time. The worst was when the wire went into my right eye. I needed to go to the emergency eye doctor to have it removed as it screwed itself into my eye. Before anyone asks, yes I had on goggles...

That cam gear is totaled ! I'm sure your whole steering gear is shot then. Try and find a good used one.
