David, do you think an M932/M931 would have any easier time with these trailers? I've owned plenty of the M939 and M809 series and I've found the M939 series trucks have more b****. It could have been the trucks that I've owned, but I have owned quite a few of each. My old M936A2 started off...
Check into the regulations on importing from Puerto Rico. When I briefly looked into it some years back, I was told that you had to have all fluids drained (the fuel tank even needed to be steam cleaned!). That is extra $$$$ if you have to pay someone to do that. Check it out first. Good luck!
I would bet that prices will rise once they stop coming out of GL. Each year, more and more trucks are parted out, junked, etc. As we have fewer and fewer in circulation, prices will increase. I have no idea what prices we'll see in a few years. I could see a $6K deuce becoming the norm...
I purchased an M932 several years ago in HI. The truck was not running at the time. I had to pay for the following:
1) towing from the site to another location for containerization
2) the container
3) shipment of the container to the port
4) disassembly of the truck to get it into the...
The problems and expense come in when you are buying a truck that may not be running (unless you can get someone on the "other" side to get it running). My experience with Matson...if it won't run, it needs to be containerized. This can be costly if you are talking about a larger vehicle like...
Rosco: I'd bid if I were you...get two and tow one with the other. What could that cost in fuel? $4,000? Just think of all the gas station attendants you'd get to meet on the drive back!
When the GL rep is not looking, move the auction stickers from your trailer to the Sherman. Then tell the guy or gal, "Here it is, just like it was shown in the pics on your website." rofl
Very nice truck. You did a great job on it. I'd put something on the bombs to indicate that they are not live. Otherwise, you are asking for more attention from our friends in LE like the last time you went to the store with the .50 cal mounted. Right or wrong...why look for a fight. That's...
