Do I suck this bad? Maybe. I absolutely can not find the hydraulic relief pressure for the front hydro winch system on the M925(A2). I presume the winch is protected by a pressure relief valve rather than a shear pin, but can anybody help to locate this pressure setting? I believe the...
It takes courage and honesty to even post something like this, and I really take my hat off to you.
Tell them you are thankful they paid for it with their tax dollars.
Why not? Cost? These winches are not cheap, so I could understand that. Otherwise, it should drop right between the frame rails and be done. Near future will prove that correct or not.
I have hydraulic solenoid valve pricing at about $140 per directional control valve (Northern Tool...
A fully charged "24V" wet cell conventional lead acid battery system should show 25.6V after the surface charge is removed. Anything higher than this is charging level voltage. The 26V-28V mentioned above is charging system voltage, not battery voltage.
Hi all. Seeking the hydraulic flow rate and bypass/relief valve pressure setting in the hydraulic system of the M925A2. WildChild467 has found the minimums for me, which are spec'd out at 800r's engine speed, but they are minimum test specs.
I am converting over to 24V solenoid type hydraulic...
I hate to drop more fear here, but coolant (ethylene glycol) eats the coating off of engine bearings like an acid, and leaves them with a rough surface. If it is just milky oil, maybe OK, but if you see any green on the dipstick, you can almost count on it that engine bearings have been eaten...
Anybody done it? I see electric ones, but maybe I'm missing any hydro ones. I just picked up a second winch complete with brackets and frame extensions, clone of the front one I have, to add to the rear under the bed between the frame rails. Seems like a perfect fit with ample room behind the...
There is. You should be able to locate it with a forum search, I did when I replaced mine with the NAPA unit. Fit and worked perfect. Only difference is the motor ground wire is external on the NAPA one, so you simply tuck it under a mounting fastener.
Swap the #2 injector with one of another cylinder and see if the problem follows the injector. If it does, then you know where the problem is (injector).
Is you "neighbor" not on this board?
Not everybody likes me here, but I do buy from many, and try to offer help when possible to anybody on a subject I had experience with.
I have been meaning to post the results of my recent Allison MT654CR 2-1 downshift harshness resolve since I saw so many had similar complaints, so your...
I went through this exact issue with my 925A2 this past weekend. WildChild467 and I went to the local mud bogs, and after, I had an extremely harsh 2-1 downshift that was not there earlier. The trans shifted gravy smooth before through all 5 up and down. Occurred at about 7mph on the...
10-4. Did it deliberately to have a better idea of what the truck can and can not do. Now will drain or at least check all fluids and bearings for water, but it was a blast! Hats off to WildChild467, the guy jumped out of his truck, into the mud, and did all the work, pulling 180' feet of...
If you really want to keep the original alternator, I'd purchase a Delco 24V regulator ($15) and patch it into the original alternator. Another low cost and more reliable option to consider.
Another option would be to install an externally mounted voltage regulator onto the alternator you have now. Such is available as old OEM stuff, in addition to newer aftermarket styles.
Crimp off or otherwise interrupt the fuel supply to the carb. Let it then idle until it starves itself out. If it clears up just before it falls on its face, then it is likely an overly rich condition.
