If you (or anyone else) is interested, I've got all the brand new TAN vinyl to put a top and cargo cover, with two end curtains, on a 4-man HMMWV. I don't have new doors, but I've got good used ones. I also have all of the framework for these tops...all brand new. I paid $607 and would take a...
I've said it before, a first-time-buyer would be better off buying from either a dealer or a private individual. I am talking from experience. We were all newbies once. I bought my first three deuces from Joe Young. Joe, then, helped me to get my first M813A1 from the DRMO. He showed me how...
I concur with Bjorn. I prefer the fuel burning heaters, but they are very hard to find. The hot water heater kits are sufficient, but you have the problems that Bjorn identified above. Check with HALFTRACK. He sold me a take-out kit that was complete. He says that he takes the heaters out...
James...slight delay in responding... I've got these tires on my M818 and I love them. I have another set that I'll be putting on my M929. They are great tires. I am sure the tactical tires are better off road, but I know these will wear better and will be better on the highway.
A agree with Jason. Come to us for help getting your first truck, maybe even your third...but not to start a business so you can compete with the rest of us and run prices up.
BEAUBEAU: I try to use military filters when possible. If I don't have any, I use NAPA filters because there is a NAPA near my house. The primary filter is 3511 and the secondary/final is 3512 (this was stated above). The gaskets don't work, but I've found that you don't always have to...
Mark: Good point. We hear a lot about the success stories, although the trips that do not go as smoothly may provide more of an opportunity for others to learn.
I kept it so I'll clean it and reuse it again. It actually was not dirty, but I figured I'd change it anway since I was not sure it was the correct filter. Thanks for the info, Chuck.
You may want to try Kevin Emdee at Star Electric. I buy a few from him every year at Aberdeen. He's had new ones and also had some like-new ones. I've bought both and can't tell the difference.
Pretty boring...I use only diesel and fuel conditioner only. Does using the other fluids (brake fluid, motor oil, etc.) cause you to need to change your fuel filters more regularly?
The places I've been you can look at anything that is already GL property, whether it is in a catalog yet or not. The only stuff I have been told to stay away from were the trucks/trailers that were not GL property yet. I think this echoes what has been said previously.
RE: Yes i got it from ID moter pool good eyes
By the way, really nice looking deuce. I would love to come across an electric wiper motor kit without having to spend a huge amount of money...which probably means I'll be sticking with the air wiper motors for a while longer! :)

101ABSniper: If you want a fellow Coloradian to talk to about trucks, check with D-MAN on this list. He is located some where near Denver. Dino is a heck of a nice guy!
Many of us have driven our trucks right out of the GL yards. Most of us service the trucks before doing so and visually inspect them to ensure their safe operation. However, what happened yesterday has led me to think driving the trucks out of the yard, before conducting a serious safety...
