I've owned many M35A2s and have changed the fuel filters on them many, many times. I've only ever seen the small primary filter. However, I just changed the fuel filters on one of my newly acquired deuces last night and came across a filter that filled the entire primary filter cannister...
Thanks for the response, AMTAK. I am going to pass. I don't really need a cab, but I would have been interested if they were for the A2.
Thanks, again!
I was offline when this thread started. If I had seen it early enough, I would have gone out to count the spark plug wires to see how many cylinders the NHC250 has  .
I can say that Robyn has been responsive to me. I appreciate her willingness to participate on this list. Most of us have had complaints about GL service and I, for one, believe that her participation is improving the service that we receive! Robyn: By the way, Justin and Mike (and Amanda)...
Robyn, with regard to ending Demil B&Q sales, would that involve the return of all such equipment in civilian hands? That would definitely impact your future sales...if people thought they would be losing whatever they won at auction. I have often worried that they might come for our trucks...
NORTHPATROL: It sounds like you've got yourself a couple of good trucks. Great to see your wife getting into the hobby. My wife has driven trucks for me from NC to MD on a couple of occasions (I was in another truck). While she does not do it often, she does like to drive them.
AMTAK...are your cabs for an A2 or the earlier trucks? If it does NOT have a trap door to check the tranny in the middle of the cab floor, it is an A2. If it is the A2 cab, I am interested. Please let me know.
Jim,
I would just haul it as it sits. You are only going 100 miles. How much money could you possibly save? $20? $40? I don't know what you are towing the truck with, but I don't see you saving that much in fuel costs.
Bruce
My reco...leave the tank truck intact and trade it for what you want. I bet you'll come out with the truck you and some cash. IMHO, it is better to leave an original and somewhat rare truck intact. If the truck you have is nice and complete, there will be plenty of guys that want to trade you...
I really like the Michelin XL 1100 X 20s. You could mount them as duals or singles. You'll get your best traction with singles. The speedometer will be off by a few miles/hour, though, which may be a problem for you based upon your post. The military must have made an adaptor to account for...
Looks like you just told everyone looking for a truck at that site that this is the one to get. I am not trying to rain on your parade...I am only trying to point out that this is not a closed site. It is an open forum that anyone who has Internet access can view. You just probably increased...
Even if you know the unit was there, there is still no way to know that ALL of their equipment went with them. With that said, if the inverted V is on the door, it probably was over there. I am not positive that all vehicles had the inverted V, but I have heard they did not paint them with the...
The cabs are rare. I hope you don't need an A2 cab. Good luck finding one of them. A new cab will run you $1,500 or so...probably more like $2,500-3,000. I've looked before...
RE: Re: RE: HEMMTT Whells on a M123/M125 10 ton truck
If anyone needs any, I have eight 85%+ Michelin XL 1600X20s mounted on the correct HEMTT rims. I've seen guys put these on 5 tonners. If anyone is interested, I'd sell the whole lot for $2,520 (what I paid...$2,400...plus tax). That is a...
It sounds like you are getting a good truck. $7K for an M51A2 w/winch is a good deal. The singles will increase your road speed and improve your traction, but you will lose any top end power that the motor had.
I said it before and I'll say it again, SteelSoldiers has become Government Liquidation's product support. It is only a matter of time before SteelSoldiers either becomes Government Soldiers or Steel Liquidation. Can't guys simply call GL when they have EUC questions, questions about the...
