If you want a diesel-powered 10 ton cargo, just find a cargo bed from a 10 ton gasser and mount it on an M123A1. Unlike the deuces and 5 tons, both the cargo and the tractor have the same wheelbase. Now...the tough part...finding the correct bed! Bruce Olney, MD

I recommend that you look at the hydraulic lines. They often are leaking, or at least weaping. Not too expensive to fix...but messy!

Those straps are used to secure the back portion of the cab top in the up position. Loosen the ropes at the back of the cab top and roll it up. You will notice that those straps secure to hooks on the top of the cab top.

I would not be shocked if the trucks runs as-is. I have a friend that bought a 5 ton multifuel tractor that had been sitting for 12 years. He put batteries in it and fired it up. Maybe, you can towbar it with your current deuce. If it is not far, it will save you money.

Mike, I've done business with GMA. Their products are top-notch. They may say that the cover is for the dropside truck, but it works on both the standard cargo bed and the dropside bed. I would guess that the other company has good covers, as well, but I don't have any firsthand knowledge...
