Nobody seems to be able read blueprints these days. Paper (or electronic) plans require somebody to actually READ and then use a ruler. Maybe there are some, but not as many as there was in days go by...
Blueprints don't have a flashy screen and buttons to push, so these days that cuts out...

RAPCO is pretty good stuff. I have been impressed and now that I have some rattlecan paint on one of my trucks that is over a year old - I can speak from experience. It looks as good as the day it was painted...
Yeah, some of the body work that the military has done looks pretty sad. But...
.
I have to ask... Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me - I see an outrigger sticking out back on the passenger side? Also looks like there is the top of a crane boom sticking up behind the uprights on the bed. Is the plan to remove that crane and replace it with a lift gate?
If the crane...

Welcome to the Outfit!
You have already got the guys talking that have forgotten more than most of us will ever know about Gen Sets. Happy to see that you have already downloaded the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your machine! There are flow charts "in them thar books" that will help you...

Dave,
Welcome to the Outfit!
So, how about some pictures? What are you going to use your trailer for? You mentioned a cargo box. Gonna use it for camping maybe? What are you going to drag the trailer with?

I was pretty excited myself...
Until I saw the Made In China part.
Don't know why... Might be that they would love to kill us all. Could be a certain virus maybe?
.
Might need to know how you are using that engagement lever too... Most of the time, the lever gets pushed to the disengaged position so you can "free spool" the cable off the drum. Much faster (easier) than needing two people to unspool cable to the nearest tree. When you go to engage it...

No Sir! I didn't claim that jeeps are better or went further out.
Chances are that both vehicles with lockers would handle snow much better.
It was @Hammer who made that jeep comment.
He may have details that he can share to prove that point.

@GTUnit ,
There are a hundred variables on how far you can push that HMMWV before "it won't go". My personal opinion is that the driver will make a big difference in where it will go before she bogs down and sits there... Driving gently rather than slapping the throttle when it slides a...

Looked like you co-pilot was having a good time too!
Extra neat that you could be a part of the parade - and being the only HMMWV - freshly painted and looking sharp made it even better.

Nice!
And having a way to easily drain the air tank is a big plus. If it is easy, there is no reason not to drain it. If you have to get dirty and crawl in on your back - it gets left for another day.
Good Plan @muthkw25 !
.
Well, that is why you and she can work on projects like this together.
You took the hint and didn't complain - good for you!
:cool:
That picture is pretty amazing.
I have never seen the inside of a truck that clean before either...
You are definitely going to to have a first class...
.
That bus bar on the passenger side of the truck has no nut on the red wire to the right. The entire bar looks like it needs to be cleaned. It isn't horrible, but it looks corroded to me. You need to disconnect both batteries, then get yourself a tube of anti-oxidation paste and a few brass...

@kenn ,
One way a total failure happens is when one of the flex hoses fail. Peddle goes to the floor. Second stab at the peddle pumps more fluid. Your heart is POUNDING and there simply is nothing you can do fast enough to recover in a lot of cases...
My particular failure was in a 5-Ton...
