    M1061a1 restoration

. I already know you will, but eyelets to contain the pull cable will be a big plus - for safety's sake.

    M35 Cargo bed cover mods

. Those folks at White Owl really are first class! I really don't know when they started that business, but they were easy to work with and prices were reasonable too all the way back in 1983 when I have my first experience with them - wrenching on trucks for RH Bouligny.

Using a MEP generator to charge your EV?

. I have wondered if a pickup truck design - with space in the bed of the truck - would be a way to carry your charger with you... You know, BYOC (Bring Your Own Charger). I know nothing and have no real desire to own one - but could an EV move while being charged?

    DIY PTO Control Lever

. The cable is the easy way. It will be as big around as a grade school pencil or a little larger - and you will want to install it in a large sweeping arc. No sharp turns If you can expect it to work well. It needs to be secured well so it still functions correctly the tenth time (for...

    Huck bolt removal tool

. Interesting. I too am interested to see what folks have to say. When I found the Huck Bolt tool - and the manual labor expended - I decided that a grinding wheel was my solution. The only nut splitter I found was a two step process because the Huck bolts are too "tall" to cut in one "split".

    Welding & vehicle electronics

. Just guessing here, but the old trucks that I once worked on that had electrical - not electronics - were welded on without a thought about disconnecting the battery cables. In todays vehicles, it would seem possible for a poorly connected welding ground to "Zap" an electronic TCM or...

. Hi Paul. Welcome to the Outfit! Like @ToddJK mentioned, getting the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your truck will be a big plus. When you have the chance, snap a few more pictures and post them in the 5-Ton section. You will find that we like pictures!

    Frank8003 - RIP

. @frank8003 was definitely a first class individual! I purchased several groups of tools from him for my truck toolbox. Always a good deal - and like you said @juanprado - he always included several extra somethings in every US Mail package that I received.

    M35 Cargo bed cover mods

. Very recently somebody here on a Memorial Day Parade run had what appeared to be a custom (possibly homemade) cover on their Deuce. It was a white cover - reflecting the heat a whole lot better than a green one would. I couldn't really tell if the sides were rolled up or maybe just not...

CUCV Markings in Army Service in Germany in the late 80s

. @Guyfang might be a good contact for that information. He spent a lot of time Germany and still lives there (retired) today.

Aerodrome Tower Light Signal Reference Decal

. Wow! For $8 you can't hardly beat that price. It would cost that much to print out and cut one on vinyl...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

. Charging those lead acid batteries inside the cab of your truck might not be good for your health... Don't know if maybe you could build some sort of cover? Something to separate the crew compartment from the battery compartment? Open fire in the cab of the truck could "make you go boom"...

    power loss maybe...multiple questions...

. It could be that over time, some sort of critter has built a dirt nest in the fuel tank vent lines. Easy cheap way to test that is to remove the fuel cap. Maybe wait until you hit a fairly smooth patch of road, pull over and remove the cap and see if the symptoms change.

    From Montana

. Can't wait to see some more pictures of your new-to-you truck. The auction pic makes it look pretty sharp. Maybe out there where you are - just maybe there is a little less competition bidding on military trucks. Hope so anyhow...
