LDT Head Gasket swap. How many shop hours?

I agree. It usually takes 3 or more days depending how the heads are (do they need work) to do a head gasket. That's in our shop with nice lifting equipment and hoists and such !

10 kw libby mep003a making power. not running the whole house.

Three phase is NOT the same as single phase. Single phase is 180 degrees apart and three phase is 90 degrees apart. Your motors will start to fry if you do this. If your a builder like you say then you must know the "NFPA" regulations. If you install your generators like you said then you would...

Converting my m1031 to a pickup and lifting it 6" to run HMMWV 24-bolt MT/R's

I really like my Mag-Tec differential cover I installed on the DANA HD70 rear. The heavy duty front steel cover I added has less oil but it will never get hurt !

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Finally got my "reverse U-bolt" kit installed today. What a pain to torque those nuts on the top of the springs instead of the bottom ! At least my overload air-bags still mount up OK.

The Centipede aka my new 1988 m35a2c

Hey back at you ! I try not to shop at NAPA especially the one in Woodinville ! They rape you on price ! If I have to go to NAPA I go to the Redmond one. They sell things for almost "Half" what Woodinville sells it for. The Woodinville store is an Independent operator so they can "jack-up" the...

Any Idea who made this steering Mod?

Actually the older 1960's Loadstars used this system and the ram does power the drag-link. The lines and valve at the top of steering gear just provide fluid direction. It was a kind of safety feature. The steering gear was a standard unit so adding the power ram gave you the power steering, but...

    Winch and Bumper Project

Here's the diamond plate I'm making to cover the winch and provide a safe place to stand on. I have a few more holes to drill and tap out, then clean and prime the plate. After the primer is dry I will be painting on "Herculiner" on the top of the plate. Then I can stand safely on the bumper...

    M1028 6.2 diesel to 454 swap

My best friend got a 1985 Chevy crewcab 1 ton back in 1990. It has a 454 also. That truck has been a real work-horse all these years and extremely fast ! The only draw-back is the 8 mpg . Fully loaded or empty, 8 mpg !
