I like it!
Might have to rob a bank to get the money to fill up that tank, but it might get you to work and back several times  Maybe you could offer up that you are considering another version of the truck that will be battery powered when you finish this one...

So montaillou ,
I have to ask: Did you use bed liner because it will help hold stuff still - or just because it is "tougher" than a good coat of paint? You mentioned protecting / sealing from possible rust. Seems like either would have worked. Just curious about your logic?

Talk it over with @Mogman .
He has a thread about what you want to do... Even has some pricing info in that thread (see below)

The sad part is that they really don't care what you think or if they are doing what you think they should be doing. They work at "political speed" and are in no hurry on anything. 90 days - as awful as it seems has been fast compared to some. Stressing over it only works on your patience...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Happy to hear that you have a new-to-you "Flusey" too. Snap up some pictures and post them up for us to admire. We love pictures!
Finding your leak may be a challenge. If you have shop air or an air compressor that you can connect to the truck, it makes it quieter...

I think you will be happier over time if you make the effort to replace everything rubber under the hood. Vacuum lines, fuel lines, radiator hoses, and belts. Don't want you to create a "franken-truck". Spend a little more effort and keep it as original as you can. Of course everybody is...

Well heck... Good start to your thread and Welcome to the Outfit! Yeah, she spent some hard years out in the weather but you did rescue her. Don't forget to download the Technical Manuals for your new-to-you truck. Keep us updated with new pictures and you make progress on your truck...

So @Stezy ,
Welcome to the outfit! Looks like a lot of the guys have already chimed in and suggested their thoughts about your new-to-you truck. My opinion on the value is a lot like yours. It seems good if you got what you want and you are happy to have it. I have bought several things...

Oh wow... Now that is a real cutie! I love the bandanna in the back pocket. Just as cute as a button - and strapped into the car seat - she is ready to ride! Go Dad Go!

Any heater that you decide on will be more capable if you spend a lot of time sealing holes in the firewall and adding insulation. Most of the time, folks are trying to cut down on the noise. What you need is to stop the drafts if there are any, then add something between the steel and you...

Hi Tom,
You will get a dozen different opinions, but if you don't drive it every day you can't really go by mileage. MY OPINION is that a filter is relatively cheap. Replace it once a year. Pick a day. Do it on the same day or weekend every year. Then add the quart or two of oil, and you...
