Seems to me that these trucks were built to last for maybe seven or ten years? I think I saw that number somewhere. There are several obvious things - like the plastic loom for example.
Exposed to the sunlight, that stuff degrades fairly quickly. If you aren't sure, look behind the bumper...

My suggestion that is a bad idea.
The Multi-Fuel was built for that, the HMMWV is not.
Maybe somebody else can speak up with a solution, but gumming up the IP and the smaller nozzles in the newer design diesel is going to cost you more than a smaller fuel bill.

Hard work, somewhat of a brain drain thing - but Wow - it is looking good! The time spent will have been worth every minute when you are in the drivers seat.

I would avoid the "Sneaky Pete" version of getting a title. All you need is some dang high dollar lawyer helping himself to you own whatever you have if something ever goes wrong. You can read between the lines when he starts saying how evil you were because you even "broke the rules to get...

Nice looking vehicle!
Running with the ability to drive it down the street is a major plus too. Yeah, brakes are at least somewhat important  too - but at least you know what needs to be done first. Congratulations again and Happy Wrenchin!

Happy that you "done good".

Like @TOBASH mentioned, there are lots of threads about flashers. There is a difference between LED and Incandescent flashers too. Grounds need to be chased in the wiring and that little ground bar on the back of the tail lights is important too.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think there are brake shoes that aren't asbestos. Okay, well maybe ceramic on passenger cars. The big thing is to be smart. Wear a mask that fits snugly around your pie hole and wet down the shoes and drum with brake parts cleaner. Don't be a big dummy and...

Same with shampoo and conditioner and all the other things that are packaged in plastic bottles. Had a friend of mine who worked for a company called WePak here in the big city... 55 gallon drums into 16 ounce bottles is their business. You can buy the $10 bottle or the $1 bottle and the...

Going rate presently is one arm and one leg.
Hard to find one that has doors and a roof at the moment but maybe new stuff will show up on the next auction. On the bright side, I know of a young man who is making the final adjustments to his and in about a month is will be available from an...
