I finally remembered to do this when it was daylight so I went out and measured everything and drew a picture.
A couple questions:
What gauge is the factory cable?
What gauge is recommended?
Cables are marked with 12O39293 WDD for the red, and 12O39267 WBQ for the black
Try to keep this brief:
Last year bought a great used set of studded snow tires. Heard some rubbing but no big deal
Today it was time to put them on again. The wheels are 16" chrome-ish steel from a later model chevy pickup.
Today while it was lifted I spun the wheel and heard the...
Bolted to the deck? Weird.
They seem to sell for much more than I would be willing to pay- but fortunately my M1101 came with a set, which are locked inside unless I'm using the trailer. Check ebay for going rates, but someone that ended up with a trailer and didn't get the legs will want them.
I found a NOS replacement on craigslist a few years ago. It was stuffed into an attic crawlspace and forgotten- guy sold the truck. You should regularly search cl with the search term "K5" and see what comes up- sometimes it's surprising. I'm still looking for a half-cab setup to appear. I...
When I bought my first M1101 I used the less expensive riser to get the pintle up to the height of the lunette ring- I would come to regret that. The one I bought was less expensive because it was rated lower, and was also a bit smaller. So while making a sharp turn in the Sears parking lot...
Those are the factory bow supports that come with the trailer- if you got them. Mine did not, and I had to source them separately.
I found an industrial electrician to bend the conduit for me. He did them all in one shot without mistakes- unlike the mess I would have made.
Details!
How much paint of each color did you use?
Sprayed on? Using? If so, did you spray the cammo too or brush on those colors?
I was hoping to do mine this summer but couldn't get to it while it was still dry. Maybe next summer!
Tackled the heater core today.
The new one was not as thick as the old one, but was making appreciable heat once the truck warmed up.
I was surprised there's so many gaps in the duct work, it sort of guides the air to where you want it, but certainly not compulsory.
Here's the old one.
When mine died and I replaced it, I connected the old one to the battery and it snapped smartly like it was still good, but I remember it was HOT to the touch.
Maybe it's an inside job....
- "Empty" wooden crates that aren't really empty.
- High opening bid keeps the riff-raff away.
- Your uncle Bob bids and wins it at $1K
- When he gets them home finds they're full of NVGs or something.
- Profit.
