    What is this truck worth?

. Sad but true... Can't fix stupid!

    Humvee Gauges

. That will work - or old fashioned Colgate (the white stuff) tooth paste. Rub it with a soft cloth and wipe the glass (plastic?) clean with a few drops of water. It takes time, but sanding or tooth paste will bring it back.

New to me M35A3, suggestions needed

. It's going to be a lot of labor, but with enough time it can be brought back from the dead. Yes sir, every gearbox in that vehicle is going to still have water in it. Water that has "soured" and is going to smell awful when the oil drains out and the water floods into your drain pan. Every...

    M1008 Build

. Opinions are like certain parts of the anatomy - where everyone has one... Seems that from your description and just looking at the parts, it almost feels like that motor needs (wants) a rebuild. It may very well last as long as you do with the time and effort in a complete rebuild. Of...

Bringing back to life a 2009 HMMWV M1165A1 from GovPlanet - total newbie, please help...

. ABSOLUTELY! We are going to have fun here! As we learn about stuff together... Some of us get to go fast while the rest of us plug along at about 55 or 60. One speed, Wide Open, and both feet flat on the floor!

Bringing back to life a 2009 HMMWV M1165A1 from GovPlanet - total newbie, please help...

. Only thing that needs to be considered almost as much as RPM is the ability to fade that RPM number quickly. Brakes are gonna be important one day and more stopping power might become an issue. Just thinking out loud but are there any measurements for that? Something moving 25% FASTER...

    STE/ICE connector

. It would be interesting to see what the test kits would actually do - or tell me. Might be that there would be a mad scramble for folks to buy one or both if they knew what it would do. Maybe? If you figure out what you want for one let me know please?

. Sounds like rabbit chasing would have been a real adventure!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

. Well that's neat! If you can convince your wife to hang out in the back and shoot video or take pictures - we will be even more amazed! AND we will offer up and "Ata-Girl" award just for her... Maybe?

secret kill switch - security - discourage possible theft?

. Honestly, I would think that out in the wilds of Wyoming - there wouldn't be any car thieves. Guess that isn't so even there and it really is a shame. My opinion is that if we treated vehicles like horses were back in the day, thieves could be hung from the nearest tree and THAT would solve a...

    Charlie's Deuce Thread

. Nice One! Works for those things that are supposed to keep the water on the outside - and - for MV's.

New to me M35A3, suggestions needed

. Congratulations on your new hobby and new-to-you truck alconair07 ! The guys are right. Take your time. Read those really dry and boring books - and believe us - when we say will help keep you safe and "learn you" a lot of stuff that you need to know with a vehicle that large. New fluids...

    Engine roughness when stopped

. Does the shaking and quivering happen only when your foot is on the brake peddle? Maybe a crack in the rubber diaphragm in the brake booster? Quick way to verify is to put the truck against a tree and see if it idles smoothly - without the foot brake engaged.

Lost and Found, a 50+ year journey

. Simply FANTASTIC... Real customer service @ Zippo for sure! Being able to find the original owner is a wonderful thing.

Squibbly's M1009 and other Questionable Projects

. Yes Sir. Button resets if there is a sudden pressure drop in the brake lines. Opening the bleed screw rather than "cracking it open" - especially if you have a power bleeder setup will (could) set it off. The wire does nothing but light up the bulb on the dash.

FL Any experiences with titles for a M35A2 ( obtaining or having one transfered over to your name)

. Not specific to Florida - but here in North Carolina - the ladies at the DMV in Harrisburg pad the fields with "Zero's" to get 17 characters. Their book on how to use their NCDMV Software tells them to do it that way... That particular location is what they call a "Contract Station" ...

    Brake bleeding help

. That's always good news!! Funny how some sort of calamity "at the house or the shop" stops a project, then you have to go back and see where you were. Hate to say that has happened to me before too. The fix for me personally is to leave a wrench hanging on whatever I was working on last...

    STE/ICE connector

. Occasionally there are auction items that would be interesting... The ICE box that you could plug into the terminal in your truck. Hunting down the software might be another adventure though. There are several guys here @ SS with the software and the ICE. Is/Was that your goal?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

. If you owned a Sea Stallion, you would be the hit of the hit parade @kendelrio !
