No it won't. What will happen is the pits will allow gasses to bypass the rings. Eventually they will wear a groove in the cylinder wall. I've seen this happen before. It takes awhile to do it, but your engine will not last near as long if done correctly. If the pits will not come out with...
Yes, but it's a lot of work. You must disassemble all the left side wheel assemblies and pound out the studs and install new right-hand thread studs. I would wait until your doing a major brake job, that's when I would do it.
I was wondering what you where talking about  . There where two compression ratios used in the multifuel engines. The 22:1 and the 20:1 . Evidently these pistons are for the 20:1 ratio engine.
I now remember why I didn't put the connector there. The remote plug will not fit due to the plastic housing (Pic. 1 ). I originally didn't like it mounted on the passenger side either, but after looking at it there I have changed my mind. A few hold-downs and it should be fine.
That would be great but remember you have a limited market. Also if you make them too good then after you sell off the first batch no one will be buying anymore as they will not be replacing them !
When I was in the Marines one of the things the top enlisted officers liked to do was take a midnight run down to the beach. I was just a sargeant at the time (E-5) so I was not privy to what the purpose of all this was but I could guess. So at midnight we where all woken up and told to get in...
Your talking about the PTO shift shaft correct ? The rubber bootie should totally seal the shaft. There should be a washer and nut that holds the end of the boot against the end of the shift shaft and the linkage.
The original factory ones where made of a rubberized leather and didn't last all that long. So they had zippers to help in installing them without removing the whole wheel assembly. Later the military went with rubber ones but kept the zipper. There are after market ones available since the NOS...
I just saw a guy with Pinzgauer at Safeway today. I was picking up prescriptions at the store and there he was. When he came out I waylaid him and ask a few questions about his truck. He is actually a member here but hasn't been on the boards for a few years. I love those little 6X6 trucks ...
I would check the air-governor then. It's mounted over by the engine air-filter. It sounds like it is cycling the air-compressor. Take it apart and clean it out. They are simple little units. If you need a new one they sell for only $20.00 on eBay.
That's just too easy ! Actually I never thought about it ! Tomorrow I will switch the bracket and see how it looks. I've been sick with the flu for the last week and a half and my brain is like mud right now ! My wife has been after me for actually going outside and doing anything on the truck...
I mounted the remote switch connector to a piece of aluminum angle and used the two winch mounting holes to secure it. I wanted to mount it over on the driver's side of the bumper. I drilled a 3/4" hole for my lights and other wiring but I could not get the connector apart without destroying it...
Whenever it is running at idle and the brakes aren't being used, I can hear air blowing off. The tanks are at 100% so I presume it's because the Compressor doesn't have a modern electronic clutch to turn itself on and off with so it blows off like an old steam boiler used to to prevent an...
Since you live in Florida that would mean you would have a round trip of about 10,000 miles !!!! That's about 1250 gallons of fuel. At $3.00 a gallon that's $3750.00 !!! Still want to come ?
