Wonder since most roads are crowned and driving in the right lane the passenger side might get a little hotter. That and if you loaded the passenger side of the trailer heaver plus crown might heat up that side?
If I make it have a couple of Hardigg cases and aluminum med boxes. Have a couple of Septer water and fuel cans. Some even with metal holder base and new nylon straps. Still have the Med. collard tow bar with 1x1 feet 1 3/4 feet and double chain axle clamps.
Bottom petcocks are for water draining. The system air bleed screw is the one between the secondary and final fuel filter up on the block by firewall. Yes we do it after filter change.
Yep not original but glad Clay put them on it as it was so nice when I had to change the tube. I am not a purest. I checked out that forum with a search but thanks but wheel is back together. I check the other wheel nuts and they all were just over 100 foot pounds so I went with 115 and...
Well years ago I posted with pics that filter removed. Yea it did not have metal and not clogged enough to cause a running problem but it did have fibrous material I figured came from the fuel filter. Magnet was clean. If something could get by the primary filter then yes the PT filter should...
My thought is just to keep any moisture / crap out of the air pack that can cause premature failure. Now when I replaced the air dryer on the 1088 I did a test after driving it. I took a paper towel and taped it to a piece of cardboard. Held it up to wet tank and all the other tanks and opened...
Myself always thought an air dryer would be a nice thing to add to the Deuce. If not a whole dryer then small water trap / filter on the line that feeds the air pack.
Searched and looked through the TM 9-808 but no luck. Got the wheel with new tube and flap and ring nuts just snugged down for now but want correct torque number for the 5/8 stud / nut. Tanks
OK problem was new flap was not installed. You can see where the flap was worn out and allowed the tube to come through the flap creating a weak spot. Got the combat wheel back together with new flap and tube and locking ring nuts just tighten down some. Does any one know the correct torque for...
3116 CAT fuel system - YouTube ? Then return line check valve above that on the Governor or tank check valve ? Wonder why they never added the filter / primer ball set up like on the FMTV's.
Woke up left front flat. Glad I had the combat wheels and Coker tires number. No tire damage area around tube valve stem let loose. Ordered two tubes two flaps.
Myself just a little light weight oil on the threads. Then good wash with degreaser and paint the stud / nuts with wheel. No primer just rattle can the color I want.
"If I ever meet Jesus and he asked me if I have been keeping up on reading my Bible I will have to tell the truth. I have been trying there Jesus but Doghead wants me to get through the TM's first then from then on keep the Bible handy and well read". This was my quote and never said Jesus would...
As for is timing correct? Not the best time for second guessing did I get the timing off and should have been checked just after head install. Better news if it is off you know what has to be done to correct it just a real pain now. Yes off timing is important to how engine runs so might as well...
Yea you do not even need to jack it up just have someone watch and do one side at a time. Be sure to use the correct size Allen wrench. One of mine was all ready in bad shape and had to drill it out. Trouble was when I hit the magnet drill stopped and I had to remove the cap and tap it out...
