The "red scored tooth" only lines up with the arrow to tell you when the head will be able to be removed from the IP. Period(nothing else).

Hey Tim, I never thought about it but, Clinto and myself have had a few trucks have running issues if the two screws that hold the fuel control rod are torqued too tight. Not sure why that is, but backing them off a tad worked great. Maybe that was the case here too.

180 out of time? If the harmonic balancer is lined up, can you see the red scored tooth on the hyd head? The scored tooth shouldn't be lined up, just visible.
Yes, are asking about the hinge bolts at the top of each window, or the whole frame?
Sounds like the window hinges at the top, which should be Phillips head screws. They are no fun to get out if rusted in place.

I'd try using a dvm to see if they have continuity to ground, then see if they have continuity back to the battery + terminal. That should get you in the right direction.
I know I haven't worked on any mogs but, can it really be that hard to figure out a +, a -, and a trigger?
I would think it should be fairly simple, is there a bunch of wires not hooked up?
This link shows 395s(extremely close 5o 15.5s) with the hubs not flipped, rim dish-out. Looks about even with the bed, so I would bet rim-in hub flipped should be fine. I will still see if I can find a link though...
