The bottom line is that deuces are tougher than woodpecker lips.
They are not quiet.
They are not comfortable.
They are not the most fuel efficient truck in the world but they get decent fuel milage for what they are.
They will run on stuff that would FUBAR just about any modern engine...
And maybe you will end up like some of us.......

Tracy......I meant brand new tires.....he bought a bunch and can't move them...he thought they were 5 ton tires (1100x20) that the loggers use for pull out trucks.
I have some stock deuce rims I will bring with me...still have bad tires mounted on them.
Does anyone need brand new 900x20 tires??? There is a tire dealer near me that has 12 he wants to get rid of at his cost.

He is motivated to move them due to space...

We are clearing land now so if I have room I can bring a butt load of pine logs....they burn fast and hot but the price is right.
Come to think of it, I have an extra 105 trailer...if I bring it full of wood does anybody want parts off it......if I left with cash/trade goods and no trailer it...
I had a long talk about GL with my congressional aide a few weeks ago...I explained that some of their dealings bordered on fraud and that there are a lot of unhappy customers out there.
She was surprised that one contractor had such a monopoly on the surplus property of the govenment. The part...
"Sour grapes" or they are pissed off because they have lost their place at the public feeding trough.
Anytime that amount of money is at stake the loser is going to carp about it.
There was a guy at the recent MVPA convention that had big tires on his 818...I think he said the biggest issue was extending the landing gear pads to compensate for the taller tires. Worse case scenario is that you move the 5th wheel back a few inches or install a sliding 5th wheel.
