I picked up a OD truck in Bandon Or. and regret not staying longer or even playing on the shore line for a couple of days. No excuses. I like camping as long as the generator starts in the motor home.
I told the doctor that I am a high performance machine and I require a higher pressure than normal folks. I don't like meds as for the side effects and I am not on any. Loose the salt is one key way. There seems to be way to much salt in everything processed these days you injest so I just try...
I found some extra weird rubber seals O rings if we must and two new crush washers. Just hope you cylinder is not pitted to bad as I don't have an extra or I would include it too. You can see they have a lip to catch air pressure. If you want to have them free PM me you name and address.
PS I...
10 bucks says it is the air cylinder needs to be rebuild on the transfer case. The O rings have a lip on them and are special. I get my rebuilt kit from Memphis Eq. Air up the truck shut it down and put it in reverse and leave it in reverse. Air down the air tanks still in reverse. We do this...
If I am reading you right the old head and IP pump housing had the head oil passage. As per TM when installing a Head into the IP pump housing that does not have the oil passage then the port in the IP housing must be blocked off using some kit. I have never seen that style IP but according to...
Yea sometimes the cut out on the quill shaft is just a hair off so as said just a half tooth one way or the other. Really helps to have a helper when there is a problem. You don't want to bend the cut washer on the quill shaft. If you don't have a wife or girlfriend you can rent them for one...
Don't know about welding something up. On the 809 series transfer case the air cylinder / rod is in reverse sprag when it is pushed in towards the transfer case. Pulling it out will be forward. If you use the air cylinder then yes it has to have the full amount of truck psi air to keep it in...
I think I was reading some where that NASA spent big bucks on a pen that would write in space. Now the Russians said no problem they took a pencil. You took a trip over seas so Alaska should be on the next to do list and it is closer to you than Europe.
I always felt if it is tight force it and if it breaks to he!! with it it needed replacing anyway.
That said if you read any of my rants the right tool for the job does help.
You looked into the hole for the fuel control and the pin is not there? Sometimes buy turning the crank shaft just a tad one way or the other while some else pulls up on the head easy will get the cut out washer on the quill shaft gear lined up better. Can I ask you this did you rotate the...
Thanks for the post but Black on gray is harder to read than the white on gray background. I almost stopped reading your post because of it. Please switch back to white.
Double check the axle vent line for being open to please. If I remember right the gear oil would have to go through two CTIS seals plus hub grease seal. Hard to happen but guess it could but you would also have a leaking CTIS in that hub. So might want to see about that. If I remember there is...
