    Thank you! Texas here!

. Welcome to the group from North Carolina! Tons of information here, lots of good opinions and TM's when you need the cold hard facts about your new toy. Hope you enjoy your "new to you" truck!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

. It's official Owen... You were doing good until you added the onions :) I can eat chili all day long. Add a few onions and I taste it for DAYS. Think I will pass on the 5 way...

    Denton NC 2021

. Bummer, but delivering on your promises are always important. Funny (but no laughing matter) how it seems that having a business is like an undisciplined child. Almost without fail, something always comes up unexpectedly and commitments to customers take priority. I keep telling myself...

. Need to post a full size picture of your truck in "parade dress". It definitely looks sharp!

    Brakes not releasing

. You mentioned a "manual maxi lock valve". We used to use a "BrakeLok" at one point in time that would lock the fluid in the lines (apply the brake as if your foot was on the peddle). The BrakeLok had a nylon tip that rode on a cam (pushed in / released the brake) to release the brakes. You...

    M1088 camper conversion

. Definitely Neat! I know I have mentioned the steps before - but that is definitely a good way to do that. A wooden box with a no-slip top outside would make it easy to step up into the truck. First Class so far!!

    M936 wrecker boom leaking down

. Talking about GP: I have seen this discussed before, but it is really interesting that my most recently purchased thing included an invoice. That invoice doesn't show the 2.95% credit card fee on that invoice. That is interesting. Funny that the credit card companies won't allow that...

Thanks for the add! New owner and member

. Seems that a really common easy to do thing is looking at the drive shafts. They need to be indexed. Where the "front of the shaft" and "back of the shaft" should line up with each other. Out of an abundance of caution, the most common thing is to carry the shafts to be balanced. Shaking...

    M936 wrecker boom leaking down

. My opinon FWIW is anything you could find in the military warehouses for these hydraulic cylinders will be old and tired. Most (not all) warehouses are not environmentally controlled and rubber and nylon will have already deteriorated. All the NSN parts are listed in the TM. A picture might...

Thanks for the add! New owner and member

That's a nice M1088. Those trucks are TALL at the 5th Wheel. Pulling a regular van trailer could find you a bit overheight so be sure to check that out before you hit the road. Mine runs like a sports car when bobtail. I really hope that you enjoy yours as much! Be sure to check out your...

What did you do to your trailer today.

. Wow. That is a lot of goodies moving in the 373! Not sure I would be helping my X move anything, so you must be a better man than me... Hope it all works out well and that you don't fall over from exhaustion.

    Hello from Texas

. Welcome from North Carolina! If you have a big green machine, post us some pix and we will happily "oogle" your toy for you. On the other hand, if you don't have one - most of the guys like to offer up opinions and give advise. If neither of those are so, then we do have Classifieds here...

    First govplanet hmmwv

. Welcome to the group! Happy to hear that you got your EUC and that you already have your truck. Be sure to dig around and get the Technical Manuals (TM's) for your new to you vehicle. Part numbers, how to, goofy things like your brake lights don't work if your headlights aren't on...

Joined the club with an 18,000lb paperweight this week.

. Agreed! Honeybees are surprisingly calm little people. They could "give a flip" about trucks for the most part. Here in North Carolina - Dirt Daubers (Mud Daubers) are generally the bee like critters that plug up things like your vent pipes. Even they are relatively docile critters...

    New M151A2

. Congratulations on your new toy! Definitely looks nice today compared to where it started. Don't hesitate to jump in to the conversations here and make use of the TM section as well. Welcome to the group!!
