Welcome to the site! Happy to have you as a part of the group. Congratulations on your new truck too. That utility body looks amazingly good!
Here in North Carolina it has been hanging around freezing for the last four days. Steadily raining, but I guess we have to be happy that it isn't...
I understand. Definitely neat to be able to build on something that your dad did.
My dad was in the Marines and met a guy in the Jaycees back in the 1960's who was in charge of the Toys For Tots project in Charlotte back then. My dad would drive the Deuce and his co-pilot Nick would gather...
Wow!!! What a heck of a recovery! It truly was amazing what a little soap and high pressure water did for it.
The car wash took an easy twenty years off in those later pics.
Congratulations!!

.
Got a few more pictures...
Just so you know... The lighting on the wrecker above is the same as on the 5-Ton in the picture above.
A couple on the boom, a couple on the back of the rig, a couple over the bogies.
Enjoy the ideas - and be sure to post some pictures when you get...
SandBar , I have been collecting lighting pictures for a while. The Eyecon 360 lights are pretty neat. All of these pictures are from somebody else here on the site. Gathering was so I could figure out what I wanted to do for lighting... Maybe something useful can be found here...
Hi marco1952 ,
I like your vehicles. Definitely nice stuff and where you started painting the inside is a definite improvement. They do get a little "dusty" looking inside and out with time. I spotted both of your posts. One about the Radar unit and another about the Project Vehicle for a...
I am in for the S-141 shelter. Just measured and it will fit nice and low on the deck of my M989a1.
Towing it behind my M1089, I won't be struggling to stop it or get "passed" by it either!

Not whining or crying guys, but so far all I have been able to find to sell is one bent bumper from an MTV and a couple of LMTV leaf springs. Already found a replacement bumper last year. My pickings seem to be really slim on stuff to sell.
Has anybody started rummaging their stash?
That Sightliner is so darn ugly it is almost "cute" for a truck. I enjoyed reading the write-up. The absolute best part is one quote that I have heard before where being a cab over driver is always the "first one on the scene when he has an accident".
Nowdays. the glass in the front wouldn't...
Sounds to me like you also know about the KISS Keep It Simple Stupid moniker...
It is strange how people can freeze up on the size of a problem.
NICE information to share with the group kendelrio !

Nice looking! I know I have seen the build as you have gone along - adding the frame and subframe. Definitely making progress! I can't wait to see more!

Well... So far, the Allison seems to "Git R Done" as best I can tell. My neighbors at Concrete Supply admired my M936 with a Cummins power plant and an Allison behind it. Their folks drive the wheels off their trucks (in a good way) and they don't seem to have a lot of troubles to fix...
Welcome from all the way on the side of the country! All the way out here in North Carolina...
Nice to meet you too. Get yourself a pillow to throw behind you in the seat and HAMMER DOWN!
There are tons of posts about these trucks. That van body idea keeps on growing on me...
Hi guys and gals!
It seems like the Denton Rally is still on schedule... I would like to create a Buy & Sell thread here to get the trading and swapping, buying and selling started this year. Now that I have that part done, I need to go find something to buy or sell!
Welcome to the fun!
Tim
