Guess that little tiny 7-Ton will just have to be "your fix" then for a little while
You could always ride the M1123 in the back of the MTVR...

I have to agree that 5.5k is pretty rich for a dozen tires in a year. I am cheap. If I can find something used, I would be willing to try that. I found one in Florida @ GovDeals.
Just wondering... Sure seems like a better plan than beads
Might even find somebody local that could...
Hoses / Cables (similar enough?)
Strangely enough, the M1088 with 4 batteries that were replaced (after the thief stole mine) had a charging problem. I went to the local parts store months ago. Bought 4 twelve inch "lugged ended cables". I attached them to the batteries with lots of help...
I remember before computer tire balancing for automobile vehicles was around. There was a piece of equipment that would roll up to the wheel, spin the tire, add weights, spin the tire again, etc.
I remember being told that sort of balancing included the wheel and tire AND it also included...
Well said, although if the factory fuel filter housing starts leaking you will be doing a spin on filter mod... wound up having to do that on my 85 m1008
.
A spin-on filter for oil or fuel is a good upgrade.
On the other hand, if what you have works and doesn't leak... you might say why.

Hi Ellis6 ,
Your note mentions receiving a MK23 back in November. I see that you are a new member - so WELCOME to the group.
Be sure to post a few pictures of your new toy - and maybe a picture of the tube where the missing dipstick should be. That might give a better idea of exactly where...
Oh wow. Looks to me like that is a "whole 'nuther world" of learning. I saw something a while back on the forums that mentioned using a VIC 1 or a VIC3 that made some sort of attachment to a cell phone. Wonder if that would allow communication using a military headset?
And then possibly...
I have to start by saying that I am not in New Jersey.
In my opinion, the CAT dealer really isn't going to fix anything except the power plant. That is what they work on mostly so if you need that sort of service they could be a resource. CAT engines should use CAT filters. Yes, you can get...
The ATF/Acetone mixture seems to have been slowly eating away (loosening) the rust as best I can tell. It is in between the outrigger tubes that are stuck inside the "slide tubes". It's is a big hunk of metal about 40 inches long and about 8" wide and maybe 10" tall.
There are 4 on this...

Patracy,
I thank you sir!! I will go talk around the question a little more and see if maybe he was confused or was talking about something else.

Rust Question: For several months now I have been regularly spraying a combination of ATF and Acetone in between two pieces of metal. Two square tubes that fit inside one of the other. Something similar to a trailer "hitch" and the "receiver" it fits in...
Problem is definitely is rust...
AMAZING detail. Really neat. Those small pieces... Cooking pans and warmer pans and all kinds of really cool stuff. Skills. You definitely have those!

Got a note asking that another member should "clear your mailbox" so I can send you a message. Are there tools for that? A place to look for it? All I see is the "envelope" icon to see personal messages. I see 5 and a very few pages of PM's (messages).
Am I missing something here?
