You have already mentioned "Genuine GM Starter Bolts". There are also a set of shims that go on those starters too that most folks cast off as garbage. I remember discovering how that worked as I cracked my first cast aluminum "nose" on a starter long years ago. There are shims for the nose...
Absolutely! Seems that most everything always takes a little more time (or money) to fix every problem.
It sure is nice though when a $12 fix is the solution.
More often mine seem to be in the hundreds - but I still enjoy the toys

Wes, Since there is a Modulator Cable - does that mean there is a valve on the side of the transmission that looks like what used to be called a "Modulator Valve" on an old GM or Ford (passenger vehicle) transmission?
OR is it all mechanical on the Allison?
Tim
It is hard to imagine that the first flight for that airplane was about THIRTY years ago. Been retired for more than ten years... It is so neat though!
It makes you wonder what we have happening now that we haven't seen yet. <evil grin>
.
I am sure you noticed that every one of them were hustling the entire time too...
Jacking up the tail of the plane with a metal pole and two 2x4's was amazing.
A dozen guys definitely had the horsepower to get the job done!
Wow. It definitely wasn't for the money.
I like your "sidekick". Just a fuzz shorter than those tires
Looks to me like he is happy to go for a ride in a big green truck with dad! Very Neat indeed.
Those sure are some monster looking tires for sure...

It appeared to me that the nose would be ripped skyward if the load shifted.
That was a guess on my part in that first training film.
Those guys did some AMAZING things Frank!
.TM
For sure... Those things appear to be mostly of wood.
Also noticed that their load binders are rope. Guessing that weight is a factor, so chains weren't used. Also saw in the training video that the "sprung" trailers have blocks of wood to wedge between the top of the axle and the top of...
That is one thing I have noticed with my M936: It is a wrecker, so technically I guess I don't need the length but I have already discovered several instances where more boom length (accompanied by less weight capacity) would be handy on "projects".
I also might be chicken, but I don't want...
The training film was really neat. Note that the SEATS were built out of wood... Rope was used for Load-Binders... Last images were as the glider went airborne before the C-47 lifted off before the glider.
Another Ahab, I can't proclaim "top of the mark" with my flying skills. I have used a nose up and nose left or right attitude to bleed off airspeed in a tight spot. I always hope that flaps down and gear down will happen before anything before that happens!
The guys who flew gliders were...
I don't have the (1) concrete pad or the (2) steel building - so I won't be installing a lift any time soon. Definitely until those two things get done first!
Any idea about a rough cost might be for a 4 Post Lift?
.
Crab... Or at least that was what they taught us in flight school. I think it was called a crab angle
Definitely odd to feel yourself flying forward and into the wind to the left or right -- and at just the last second before the wheels touchdown -- the plane gets aligned with the...
Yes sir, that payloader would be a neat nice machine to move things around.
Looking at it, I need that dozier about as bad as I need a hole in my head - but it sure would be neat to have.
.
Would know how this all worked out. Would also like to see if you could disassemble the cylinder and "repack" it. You could sell it as a rebuilt or have it around the house for next time.
Seems that water collects in the hydraulic fluid on these trucks. Not much fluid in the reservoir, so...
Wow... Okay, so I agree with m1010plowboy except that while he built a fire and hid his models, I didn't have any models. I was just sitting in the dark and won't admit to having built any models at all
That is another AMAZING creation thathaway3 ! That is so cool...
