    Ah you have some learning to do grasshopper. The CUCVIIs have (had in your case) 24 volt starters, and a solid state 12/24 volt converter to charge battery #2. Tons of info on these here on SS thanks to member stonepicker.

    EUC? when did that start for FMTVs? Couple of data points, your truck likely went through a rebuild given the upgraded marker lights and front panel. The miles shown are since a new speedo was installed, not actual.

    Welcome! That is one nice M38A1! Someone did a lot of restoration on it. You want 10W30 petroleum oil in your engine. The canvas top does have rods that go from the front bow to the windshield, but they have a 90 degree turn at both ends.

    Transmission is not in any way connected to air system. If you are applying brake to shift to reverse, maybe this is what is making you believe the issue is transmission related?

    Axle pinion is parallel to frame. So there is the allowed 2 degrees.

    Any chunks of plastic floating around in the cooling system will for sure end up plugging the radiator tubes, leading to overheating. Flush everything and get the radiator rodded out.

    How did you find that the factory drive shafts are unbalanced? They were removed in the field by Stewart and Stevenson employees and destroyed. The new driveshafts and bellhousing is better able to withstand the vibrations generated by the driveline angles. In almost no cases do these trucks...

    1083A1 - Brakes do only half release, ABS light is on!

    The front brakes are not part of the parking brakes. Does the front brake release with zero air pressure in the system? That would mean air system issues. If brake still engaged with or without air, you have a stuck plunger mechanism on the brake air canister.

    There were no civilian M915A1s. 58 mph is against the governor, that is all any of them will do. Just takes a little longer to get somewhere that's all.

    Seized my engine!

    Yes the distributor drives the oil pump. Can say for nearly certain this was operator error. Is the distributor dimensionally identical? You will need to rebuild your seized lower end. Top end likely ok.

    A 4' round hole pattern could be for quad mount. Rectangular pattern could be generator. Director would have holes to attach the house.

    HMMWV injector pump bad or??

    Whole front of the motor for an IP replace? Nope, read the manual. IP rebuild should run you around $500. If diesel don't come out the injector lines with the solenoid pulled in and fuel in and out, you can be sure the IP is a goner. Lots of plastic parts inside that don't last forever.
