You can get a title from Broadway Title for about $375 with no prior paperwork. BUT . . . Your FD should provide you with a SF97, which is a form from the state that allows you to get a title from your local DMV. They will try get the SF97 from the State of Ten, who will tell your dept they...
I agree with Jatonka, the engine is a LDS-427, making the truck a M-35A1. Those are scarce as hen's teeth. Your truck must have been surplused in the early 1970's. All M-35A1's were made into A2's when they went in for depot overhaul. Yours escaped that fate and is a unique survivor.
Thanks Mike, great find on the web page. Cost $500. Best part, no tax, buyer's premium, or EUC. Now to get a SF97 with the correct info. GSA loves to fill these out with nearly nothing written on them. Then DMV kicks you to the curb . . .
Restoration should be easy if the butchery wasn't...
Buy one from GSAauctions.gov There are zillions of them on there all the time. Just wait until a nice one comes up in your neck of the woods. They are getting really rusty, so buy with care. Cab swapping is a big pain. I know. You will love the truck. The only army truck besides the...
Here's the IP pic. Just the usual instruments, but the tach goes to 4000. Also has 2 air pressure gauges. The filter on the firewall is for the Allison. Mine has a PH8A filter, not sure if that is a legit cross . . . The airbag rears are unusual, most 900's are the usual camelback type...
Price is a bargain, you just have to find the right buyer. You will regret selling the truck one day. I still have my second ever mv, a M135 I bought in 1982.
Try Cheyenne Pickup Parts, 405 872 3399 also on the web. I got a perfect brown dash assy that is the highest quality for about $300. They also have every other part you may need other than powertrain. M1009 tailgate parts, etc.
The Army Truck in it's element! Every house mover in the US must have had a 6x6 at one point. I've bought 2 from them, even the shadow was worn out.
That M275A2 is having a ball with the little house . . .
Happend to me too at 25 mph after hitting a bump. Had about a ton in the bed. Running 31-12.5-16.5's. Thought the truck was going to self destruct. Was planning to replace the steering damper to fix. Help!
Check the starter relay again, the one under the dash. I had the exact same problem, same symtoms. The contacts on the relay had burned. Filing the contacts fixed the problem, for now. The relay is the shiny oblong one above the gas pedal, but attached to the dash.
Camp B is in Alexandria, about 50 miles NE of Ft Puke. They will load you out with a 20K RT forklift. You can watch your driveshafts being bent and doors smashed.
