Yes my friend, I was spreading lies and rumors about you!
Glad things have calmed down for you. My girls live in a complex at the 210 and Los Robles. They are still under evac orders just because of the smoke and ash. Shelby sent a pic of the complex pool, it is black. The inside of their...
On another note, I do have some pics to put up here of some more forward progress, but things have been a bit hectic what with the desert trip with the fam and the weather.
No, thankfully, we are good except for alot of bad smoke and ash. I was there today to load out a piece that needed to leave, and I gotta say, I live 18-20 miles NE of the compound, and the smoke was horrible.
There is at least one member here that was within 2 blocks of the main part of the...
Pump rebuild kits are still available. I use a place in Weymouth Ma. Then and now automotive. Call them with the numbers off of the pump and they will fix you up.

And, if it still has the Holley on it, if you can, find a Zenith for it, the engine runs much better...
Just in case you still do, here they are. This truck is a Marine Corps ambulance. It is painted MERDC but you can still see the crosses underneath the camo. There is no word ambulance stenciled anywhere on it and the only other markings are the USMC unit on the front bumper and registration...
Well, not really the hood, but I guess it is about it too. Do all the different variants of the HMMWV use the same hood? Is the grill in the top of the hood the same dimension? I do know that there are different grills, like armored, but are the holes in the hood the same size?
Another...
I think these are air brakes. You might need a CDL to drive it, 26,001 LBS GVW. The bed is a bit up there, hefting tools in and out will get old, fast as well as climbing up and down.
As stated above, rubber is expensive for them. I don't have much experience with L/FMTV but on the older stuff...
I think since the decals are vinyl, no clear over them. I am afraid that the paint might eat the vinyl. I would then need to start over, don't wanna do that. We will just make a cover for the operators compartment so that the controls are covered and out of the sun.
Made a few more changes, but...
An update on the progress on the m62. Went back in today, it's been a hot minute took some time off for Thanksgiving. Spent two weeks out in the desert, it was glorious! The old mirrors were flippity floppity and you couldn't see anything out of them so a few weeks ago I dug some out of a pile...
Upper left corner. United Technologies Fuel Systems div tested them. If you took the injectors to Cummins in Henderson, they farmed them out to UT for testing.
#1, yes, they are VERY thirsty. The last working of the M62, last week, just un-spooling the front winch and re spooling it used almost 4 gallons. I un-spooled almost all of the cable and let the winch pull the truck to the chain.
#3, The Zenith performs MUCH better than the Holley, just the...
I do not think your local Cummins dealer/Distributor has the correct stuff to pop test the nozzles. I worked for them for 30 years, did fuel stuff. We did not use any pintle style nozzle that had the same type of line that the LDT/LDS uses. An ADS shop might though.
I believe the 7.00 20 were used on WWII trucks, smaller OD also. I think the wheel is too wide on the M35/M44 series trucks. If you aren't gonna be using it except for parades and such, just go with the NDCC. There are a bunch of surplus dealers that have the tires.
