    She go in gear

Unless someone before you converted it to hydraulic PTO, which would involve A-LOT of $, no. Yours is all mechanical. If the truck has been sitting, and not a bunch of freeplay in the clutch pedal, the disc could be stuck to the flywheel. A while back, I had the clutch disc stuck to the...

    Rebuilding injector question

You do know that just taking an injector apart and re assembling it doesn't constitute a "rebuild", correct? There are a mess of other items/checks that are done during a rebuild, lapping, pop off pressures, dribble tests, spray pattern check. Those cannot be done without an injector tester...

    She go in gear

Is there a mess of freeplay in the clutch pedal throw?

    M185A3 Tire and wheel advise.

NDCC tires are readily available still, but there are other tires available in the commercial world that will do a good job and most likely work better on wet roads and mud/snow. 10.00 or 11.00 will work, however, the taller the tire, the more top speed you can get, but the taller tire makes...

    Found a gas powered wrecker

Too bad that is so far away, there are some pieces that we need! That looks rough.

what do ya know about driving a crane?

I just scanned through the 5T and up and the Misc TM section an do not see them. @sandcobra164 , if you still have the TMs for this, message @Guyfang and he can add them to the site.

    Found a gas powered wrecker

543 will not have a spot to mount tee spare on the crane. The hydraulic tank is where the tire went. M62 had the hydraulic tank mounted on the frame behind the cab. 543 uses a Garwood crane, 62 has an Austin Western.

    Trade Ettiquete (sp?)

I agree with 98G. Give this subject a bit, there might be a place for this.

Looking at potentially buying either an M923A2 or 25A2

I'd do the winch truck. If you are gonna be in ugly terrain, a winch is useful. The 925 has troop seats, so bows are easy to find. They are the same between the M35 and 800 series trucks. A cover , might be tough to find a tan one, but there were some made. There used to be a fair amount...

    Piston assessment

In the Cummins world, cracks were fine as long as they didn't go over the edge and start toward the lands. I see no issues. I'd run it.

    The next Project an ASMH

And I did forget to mention that the LO and any TM for this vehicle or related one do not have a capacity for the non drive or the clutch side. The drive side should hold 2.6 pints, the clutch side, no info, so, I just filled it with 90wt up to about where the shaft goes through the drum...

    The next Project an ASMH

This last week made a little more forward progress. The front winch was rats nested just like the back winch. The socket was wedged up into the fairlead but I was able to unwind it a little bit by cranking the engine with the ignition off. That was a while ago. I got to looking at things and...

    1980 m813 starting issues

    Try turning it reverse rotation.

    M816 brake questions

Yup, some trucks the fluid just disappears, some not. My deuce never lost any fluid, the 5 ton I just did lost all the fluid in the MC with no leaks. Topped the cylinder off, worked the pedal and brakes were back. Didn't even need to bleed them.

    1980 m813 starting issues

^^^This. If it is locked up, no starter you put on it will make it spin. If it will not turn in normal rotation, try turning it backwards.

M923a2 Coolant System Drain and Flush:

If when the gauge says it is hot, see if the upper pipe is hot. I don't understand why the s-stat sender was put in the upper pipe. tehe pipe is never full.

    USMC MB-5A 10kw, 60Hz

There are no data plates on the thing, that's why I was stumped. It was originally a USAF unit, I think, because it is blue inside, as is the other one. The only ID on them is the plate with the wiring diagram that ID's it as MB-5A made by Libbey Welding. I just deleted the pics off my phone. I...

    The next Project an ASMH

Yeah, manila folders tend to be a favorite of some people at the compound even though I have recommended that those NOT be used, probably the reason that the machines don't cut as they should. The oil in the board is supposed to lube and keep things sharp.

    USMC MB-5A 10kw, 60Hz

OR a rental of some sort. One of the last rentals the Museum had was for something something that sounds like Revel Goon. The stuff that they rented was truly junk. Broken parts in a pile of broken parts that were ready to go to the big dumpster in the sky. There has been an up-tick in studio...

    The next Project an ASMH

Let me know. I can do 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 1 3/4. We are limited to the length/width of the board to 6x20, because that's all there is in stock. However, McMaster sells them. Might be best to just buy a small pack anyway. The boards in inventory are old and brittle and don't cut well sometimes...
