Most of us have seen the old MV magazine article that claimed the Canadian Military used " heavier Dodge Power Wagons with manual transmissions" Not sure how that makes any sense unless he was referring to a W300 instead of the W200 Power Wagon M880
Sure would like to see some actual evidence...
New to the M809 series
Going to pickup an XM816 that has been on public display for a couple years, it was driven to it's current location & batteries removed. Have had several multi-fuel deuces & a couple CUCV's.
No experience with the NHC250 Cummins.
Thinking of trying with just two...
What size spacers are you running?
I thought 2" was needed, but after test fitting one on another truck, I started measuring.
I have 37" Goodyear's on 6-3/4 wide rims on my M1028, to have the outside sidewall in the same place I would only need a 1" spacer?
I'm going to test fit one to see what...

Don't want to be jumping in & end up with obsolete technology a month down the...

I've done 3d design & 3d milling in building plastic injection molds, I run the CNC machining operation at work, exposed to 3d printing over a decade before it was called 3d printing, lol.
Had a guy from Texas ask me about selling him one of my extra M880 series engines as his block cracked. While I'm willing to sell him one cheap, freight from Michigan is likely gonna be pricey. I posted a "Wanted" ad on here about it. Since these things almost never die, someone has to have one...

found a 1959 Curtis-Wright , water tanker with the original gasser, runs & drives.
It's up for sealed bid in an out of the way area.
I must be nuts, figured it to be a run of the mill deuce but when I seen it was an old gasser it made me want it more.
Probably won't be high bidder but...

These 9/16 double threaded studs are only 3" long, which is not long enough.
need at least 3-1/2" long...
Exterior grate & intake baffle
Couldn't come up with a spare exhaust, here is a picture of the exhaust pipe for reference (part of complete heater setup)
I was heading 30 miles to a MV event today, truck running fine (84 M1009)
after a leg of the trip about 12 miles at 60 mph, had to make a turn.
Low acceleration power, initially though that it just didn't downshift. Couple miles to a stop sign, took off pretty doggy long time to pick up speed...
