Where is everyone getting these spin on kits? I've been searching the forums for a vendors section but can't find it. Is there a vendor that sells alot of mods/parts for these trucks? I'm hoping to pick one up this weekend!!!
Powerjoke... Must have not come across many 6.4's lately.. :cookoo: To bad Shone couldn't have won DPC this year... back on topic
Pretty certain you can find a 6.0 ford stock intercooler pretty cheap... but I agree with above, if you making the piping anyway, go to a junk yard and find one...
Just to add fuel to the fire, I know modern diesel don't use them a-to-w coolers but does that have anything to do with modern trucks making 40+ PSI. I can hit 50's on my F350. 50 PSI would blow the lid right off a deuce. Just wondering if a A-to-W is more efficent in lower boost...
I believe this ALOT more... I thought the water jacket was for super cold weather or something.
I reckon an intercooler would be a huge improvement on any turbo'd vehicle. Air to water with super short piping for instant spool up would be sweet [thumbzup] But i don't have a deuce yet and...
Can you confirm that the water jacket is enough to drop the charged air to reasonable temps? I haven't researched enough about that topic on this forum specifically but to me it would seem the air coming from the charger will be much hotter and pass quickly thru the intake to get reasonable...
Mfarms, your killin me man! All I want to do is go wheeling, we go to shiloh quite a bit. I'm stuck in Malaysia for work right now and won't be around Labor Day.... ****!
Should one be worried spinning it up to 2800... I think thats what I was going to shoot for. I need to freakin buy one so I can start modding everything! I did find a multi fuel motor for 500 bucks.. If I could talk him down just alil more it would be great for parts if I wanted to work on...
Thanks for the Info Mike! I am making some more calls about the deuce i'm lookin at but doesn't have a title.. i don't like that.
What is the recommended max RPMS? The higher end? I know there are alot of conservative people that dont like pushing things but I'm not that guy.
2700? 2800?
can you give me a ball park on clints rims?
what rpm does it turn at 62? Also what r you guys maxing out rpms. from what i have read 2700 should be about maxed out eh?
I think I can get my tires cheap. There is a surplus yard here looking for me as we speak. These are the same guys I'm looking to get the actual deuce from. Maybe when I come home this summer I can pick the rims up. Still haven't decided if I'm driving or not.
If someone was going to change turbos I think your best option is something small with a wastegate. It really doesn't need to make any more than 20 PSI from what I am reading and if it can make that 20 PSI effiecently and cool you will see great benifits.
What are you guys maxing RPMS's at...
to bad all the cool chit everyone has for deuces is up north and would rape me on shipping. Any idea if there is a place close to Cincy Ohio? I'm driving there this summer I beleive
I feel like 395's are a must on a deuce. They look so much more badass!!
I have done alot of reading here and I want to clairfy the options available for mounting 395 AND tracking the same.
Please add any and all info you can, Especially rough prices.
1. Stock rims - Flip hubs, Mount tires, MUST use tubes.
2. Cutom rims - I thnk Clintdigger is the guys...
Has anyone put a fuel presssure gauge on a truck? Judging by the videos and pictures I'm seeing there is ALOT of fuel available to make 250 HP. But like you said we don't know if the pressure is dropping to low for the IP.
I would like to play with the ideas I stated before but for me thats...
I'm guessing it's a PITA to make the change to allow people to delete there ads then becuase a few people I talked to said they have tired to get rid of it and they couldn't. I do agree that an ad should expire but the idea of being able to delete or atleast edit it to say sold is nice..I don't...
Can you PLEASE make threads about to be deleted?
I have called on TONS of deuces now that have been sold or have been up for MONTHS. Atleast a few guys have told me that. I haven't put an ad up, is it atleast possible to edit the title and info to say SOLD SOLD SOLD or somehting? **** maybe...
that M123A1C pitcure is sweettttt
Thread is sweet to. I'm alway game for giving it a shot. When I lived back home in ohio I was one of the only people with a big truck (2004 F350 Dually) and I ALWAYS got calls to get my freinds outa ditchs... night time sucked..
Mud guppy, I'm the same guy from over the TDG. I know what it'll take, like I said I don't think anyone will crank more the 225 outa these with out ALOT of money, but you obviously have knowledge in the deisel area. Have you looked at the comments I made about 10 posts up? Any feedback?
an IDI...
