Thanks for the lead, my shoes are fine and just need relined, the lining listed on the above listed site is for the 11 inch. I am pretty sure mine are 14 inch. I will call and see if he has the 14 inch lining. Thanks again.
Guys,
Has anyone found a crossover number or local supply for the brake shoes on a WC or M37? I started looking and I can't believe the prices of 28-35 dollars a shoe. Maybe I am reading it wrong but I was pretty sure that's what was listed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Jim
Since the set showed no voltage output at first following the tech man and advice from the guys I thought I would try it. After the set was running, I turned the start switch from run back to start. It made a loud grind as the starter tried to re-engage the flywheel. Perhaps I did not have it...
Guys, just a quick question. When performing the manual flash on my genset( when I fisrt got it running) I noticed the starter tried to engage. It made a very unhappy sound and I stopped. I thought it was not supposed to run when this was done. Any suggestions?? Thanks
Jim
Guys,Thanks for all the help. I pulled the Hobbs meter out and tested it , it does not run. I will replace that and see. Hopefully that will fix the problem. I appreciate all the input you gave to help me with this. It made the process a whole lot less painful.
Ok , so now I got my MEP 003 running and making powerpretty consistently. (thanks everyone):) now is there anything I should be watching out for or doing to keep it running and happy? I want to do what I can to increase it's service life. Also side note, my hour meter does not seem to be...
Ok, it now runs and makes power. I replaced the HZ gauge and it now works. I checked it against the Kill a Watt meter and I have it set. I see now what you mean about the throttle moving the Hz around. Now I just need to clean everything up and get it wired in. Thanks for all the help:smile:

Roger that. I am going to try to pick up a gauge and if that still isn't working I will need to get the transducer. I have been wading through the TM's that are posted in the tech section, and now that I am off 3rd shift for a while maybe they will make more sense. I aplogise if some of the...
Ok, I checked my multimeter and it does not dhow HZ. I will try to get one tomorrow. If I can't find one I will look for the Kill a watt thing. With that test it should rule out the panel gauge as being faulty as well.
You guys are on the ball, Yes I am new to these big monsters. I have a 5kw gas and it is a lot simpler. Anyway I checked the output at the recepticle and used the throttle to get 120v at the recepticle. Then I checked the BIG leads under the cover and that is set correct, 120v on legs L1 and...
Ok leak is fixed,I ran the unit 10 min ago, pulled throttle out 3/4 inch started up and I checked the Hz nothing, I checked the other gauges as well. They don't move:?.I ran the engine up and everything(gauges) stayed the same....all to the left sitting on the pegs. But on the bright side the...
I will double check once I get the "leaks" fixed, but I don't recall the Hz thing doing anything. Is something wrong? The Ac breaker was open, and nothing was plugged in or hooked up.
WEll the front(closest to the control panel) has the drain on the side of the bottom at a 45 degree angle. There is a nut that holds the filter on to a stud at the bottom. The secons filter has the petcock drain exactly on the bottom( no nut) and is shaped just like the first. It has the notch...
I lloked inside the first lone, it appears tp have a aluminum stacked filter, the second I could not get off. The nut turns but the stud is turning with it. It looks like it has like the top of the bolt is machined on two sides to put a wrench on but I was not sure. Is that correct? Also why is...
